You’ll be picked up from your Cairo or Giza hotel in a private, modern car to begin your full-day tour of the Giza Pyramids. Capture stunning photos with the help of an expert guide and learn about the history of the three pyramids of Giza (Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos). Next, visit the Valley Temple, where priests mummified the king’s body. You can also opt for a camel or horse ride during the tour. Lunch will be at a local restaurant, but beverages are not included.
  • Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site remains unexcavated. The valley temple was connected to a causeway, largely destroyed during the village’s construction.
  • Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. Several statues of Khafre were found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.
  • Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added. The mortuary temple also contained several statues of Menkaure.
  • Great Sphinx - Visit the Great Sphinx, located near the Valley Temple. It is the oldest and largest Sphinx in Egypt, with a lion’s body and a human head, symbolizing power and intellect. The face of the Sphinx is a portrait of Khafre, who built the middle pyramid of Giza.
  • Panoramic view of the Pyramids - Experience the timeless wonder of the ancient pyramids with our panoramic view tour. Marvel at these majestic structures from all angles and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of these iconic landmarks. Our expert guides will share fascinating insights into the history and significance of the pyramids, making this an unforgettable experience.
  • Memphis and Sakkara - Visit Memphis, the oldest city and capital of Egypt, home to one of the largest statues of King Ramesses II, made of limestone and weighing about 83 tons. You can also see the second-largest Sphinx in Egypt, known as the Alabaster Sphinx. At the end of the day, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.
  • Ramses II Statue - The Statue of Ramesses II is a 3,200-year-old figure depicting the king standing. Discovered in 1820 by Giovanni Battista Caviglia at the Great Temple of Ptah near Memphis, Egypt, it is made of limestone and weighs 83 tons. This statue was built to commemorate the victory over the Hittites in the Battle of Kadesh in 1274 B.C.
  • Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Visit Saqqara, one of the most famous sites in Giza, where you can see the first pyramid built in Egypt for King Djoser. It became one of the largest necropolises of the Old Kingdom. Explore one of the tombs with well-preserved art dating back to 300 BC and learn about the daily life of the Old Kingdom. While in Saqqara, visit the Egyptian Carpet School to see and learn how oriental carpets, a famous Egyptian handicraft, are made.
  • Pyramid of Unas - Unas built his pyramid between the complexes of Sekhemket and Djoser in North Saqqara. A long causeway was constructed to provide access to the pyramid site, anchored to the valley temple at a nearby lake.
  • Pyramid of Teti - The pyramid of Teti is a smooth-sided pyramid located in the Saqqara pyramid field. It is the second known pyramid containing pyramid texts. Excavations have revealed a satellite pyramid, two queens’ pyramids with accompanying cult structures, and a funerary temple.
  • Mastaba of Ti - The Mastaba of Ti is one of the most significant archaeological sites in Saqqara, discovered by Auguste Mariette. The mastaba contains two serdabs, and its walls depict various scenes of everyday life.

Akhnaton Carpet School - Great place to purchase a handmade silk rug in Giza - Love the Akhnaton Carpet School! They teach young kids from local families a trade to help them through life. What a great concept. We toured their awesome facility as part of our Gate1 tour. We saw the process from spinning the silk from the silk worms, to the actual looping of the carpets. It was inspiring watching the young children creating such unique masterpieces. We purchased a beautiful silk rug and love it! Not only do you get a gorgeous rug, but you are helping the community and future generations to be financially independent.
