• Pyramids of Giza - begins at 8:00 am with a pickup from your hotel in Cairo/Giza by a tour guide. Start your full-day tour visiting the Giza Pyramids, including the Great Pyramids - Cheops, Chephren & Mykerinos. Then, visit the Valley Temple where the priests mummified King Chephren’s body. Here, you will also get a close-up view of The Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren, standing by the vast funeral complex.
• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only completely preserved portrait of the king is a three-inch high ivory figurine found in a temple ruin at Abydos in 1903. All other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many of Khufu’s buildings are lost. Everything known about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents, such as the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
• Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre, some found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860, and others during later excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
• Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also yielded several statues of Menkaure.

• Gizeh Plateau - The Giza Plateau (Arabic: هضبة الجيزة) is a limestone plateau in Giza, Egypt, home to the Fourth Dynasty Giza pyramid complex, which includes the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the Great Sphinx, several cemeteries, a workers’ village, and an industrial complex. • Pyramid of Unas - The pyramid of Unas (Egyptian: Nfr swt Wnjs “Beautiful are the places of Unas”) is a smooth-sided pyramid built in the 24th century BC for Pharaoh Unas, the ninth and final king of the Fifth Dynasty. It is the smallest Old Kingdom pyramid but significant for the discovery of Pyramid Texts, spells for the king’s afterlife inscribed on the walls of its subterranean chambers. This tradition of funerary texts began with Unas’s pyramid and continued in the pyramids of subsequent rulers, through the end of the Old Kingdom and into the Middle Kingdom with the Coffin Texts that form the basis of the Book of the Dead.
• Mastaba of Ti - The Mastaba of Ti is one of the most important archaeological sites in Saqqara, discovered by Auguste Mariette. The mastaba contains two serdabs, and its walls depict various scenes of everyday life.
• Ramses II Statue - The Statue of Ramesses II is a 3,200-year-old figure depicting him standing. Discovered in 1820 by Giovanni Battista Caviglia at the Great Temple of Ptah near Memphis, Egypt, it is made from limestone and weighs 83 tons. This statue was built to celebrate the victory over the Hittites in the Battle of Kadesh in 1274 B.C.
• Memphis and Sakkara - Visit Memphis City, the ancient capital of Egypt, where the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx are located. This city dates back to 3100 B.C. (1 hr time spent)
