Duration: 4 hours

Highlights
  • Giza Plateau - The day begins at 8:00 am with a hotel pickup in Cairo or Giza by your guide, followed by a transfer to the Giza Pyramids. Your half-day tour includes visits to the Great Pyramids: Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos.

You have the option to explore the Pyramids’ interiors or enjoy a camel ride around them for an additional fee.

  • Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only fully preserved image of the king is a three-inch ivory figurine discovered in a later-period temple ruin at Abydos in 1903. Other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many of Khufu’s buildings are lost. Information about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his Giza necropolis and later documents, such as the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
  • Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, some found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860, and others during later excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
  • Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also contained several statues of Menkaure.
  • Great Sphinx - Conclude your tour with a visit to the Valley Temple, where priests mummified King Chephren’s body. Here, you’ll get a close-up view of the Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and King Chephren’s head, standing by the vast funeral complex. This is a perfect spot for memorable photos with the Sphinx, and your guide will assist you in capturing fun poses.

After the tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.

Excellent and organized tour guide - Overall, the tour was great - we went to the Great Pyramid complex in Gizeh outside of Cairo and also to the Saqqarah oldest pyramid in the world (at an upgrade price) the tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend this tour!

Half day tour - Guide was very knowledgable and friendly a lovely lady. Only attempt the grand pyramid which costs around €14 per person if it’s not super busy as it’s one way in one out system and is pretty dangerous if it’s crowded. Got taken to a perfume store after where they try and sell you cheap rubbish for extortionate prices.

A great fuss free experience - We had a lovely experience on this tour! Our tour guide was so personable and incredibly knowledgeable. She gave us plenty of time at all of the sites and never made us feel rushed or pressured. Fuss free tour, easy pick up, drive and drop off and the pyramids speak for themselves. A true wonder of the world. Don’t hesitate to book with this company, you will not regret it. Thank you very much for a lovely day out exploring.

Very good! - Rijah was really nice and knew well about the place. She was super kind offering to take our pictures too! And gave us little souvenirs on a contest about the things she talked about. Then they offer to take us to the papyro workshop which was nice only you feel bad about not shopping but overall we enjoyed it!

Decent Photoshoot but Not a History Tour - This tour is advertised as 4 hours long, but taking up to 6 hours in high-traffic conditions. In our case, it lasted 2.5 hours, including a visit to an extra souvenir shop. We felt the tour was poor value for money, especially since our guide was really struggling with English, and that limited how much he could share with us. While he and the driver were friendly, it felt like this tour was more of an easy-money scheme for them, than actually them being passionate about ancient Egyptian history. Bonus star for them bringing a couple of small water bottles and taking good photos.

Worst tour guide in Egypt! - To start we were waiting to be picked up for almost an hour and half. Then, we proceed to the Giza plateau and we had to pay for our own entrance tickets because the credit card of the guide was not working (which by the way we will have to pay the credit card fees by ourselves). After that, we needed to wait for another 20 minutes for the guide since he didn't had a ticket to enter the plateau. Afterwards, the tour was horrible, the guide didn't explain a lot from the pyramids (actually he talked more about futebol than the pyramids). We were constantly being harassed by camel and photo guys and the guide seemed to be compliant with it all and leaving us in an awkward situation. From the entire Egypt tours, this was by far the worse!
