An excellent tour - We took a half day private tour with Emo tours to Memphis, Sakkara and Dahshur pyramids. Menna, our guide, arrived at our hotel exactly on time and was most informative and interesting. We got to the Dahshur pyramids ahead of most visitors and were able to experience the inside by ourselves, which was special. The pyramids themselves are much less visited than the more famous Giza pyramids and so are more atmospheric and less crowded. Menna gave us enough time to appreciate the setting. We then travelled to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt and which is now an open air museum. There is a giant statue of Rameses II which is breathtaking. Again Menna pointed out important details of the statue. Our last stop was Saqqara, which has a complex of tombs and pyramids, including Djoser’s Step Pyramid. Menna was excellent throughout the tour and our driver navigated the traffic really calmly. Highly recommended!

Perfect tour recommendations - We arrived earlier than our meeting time and got a call from the hotel reception. He was perfect from the beginning, and even in the car he taught me stories of Egyptian history and the origin of writing. I understood it even better because I observed it after he explained it slowly there. You're a famous guide. They seemed to be quick to deal with it wherever I went. We were lucky to be able to visit a place we had always wanted to visit with the best guides. Thank you very much, Hosam!

Ask for Sayed Amin - After 1 month in Egypt this was my best tour yet. My guide Sayed Amin actually knew the rituals and hieroglyphics, he took me in an imaginary time machine of experience. He is the kind of guide that you always want on a tour. If you don't get him, you might be disappointed. Thank you Habibi, shokran 1000 times.

Incredible Half-Day Tour with Exceptional Guide and Driver - We had an absolutely incredible experience on the Half-Day Tour to Memphis, Sakkara, and Dahshur Pyramids! My father and I did this tour, and it was well-paced, especially since my father is 68 and in good shape. Our tour guide, Bebo, and driver, Tameer, were fantastic from start to finish. They were incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring we had the best possible experience. Bebo was very patient and allowed us to spend as much time as we wanted at each site, which made the experience even more enjoyable. He and Tameer had such a mellow and positive energy—we absolutely loved their vibe! Bebo and Tameer also noticed that we hadn’t had breakfast yet, so they made a special stop to get us some delicious local food, including my favorite lemon juice! Later, they even went out of their way to stop and get my dad some dates and a cup of authentic Egyptian coffee—such thoughtful gestures! Throughout the tour, they were so considerate and even gave us local snacks to try different foods, which made the day even more memorable. Going inside the Red Pyramid was an unforgettable experience—it was really cool! And seeing the Step Pyramid at Sakkara, the oldest and first pyramid, was such a highlight. It was great to experience all of this after seeing the Giza Pyramids; it really gave us a deeper appreciation for the history and significance of these ancient sites. This tour was filled with amazing sights, great food, and exceptional service. I would highly recommend this guide and driver to anyone looking for a personalized and enjoyable tour experience. Highly recommend it!

The Best Tour of our Trip to Cairo - We had a fantastic day with Mahmoud (our guide) and our driver. They arrived on time and took us to the Pyramids in Saqqara & Dahshur and the statue of Ramses II in Memphis. Mahmoud obviously has a passion for Egyptian history and was very happy to impart all of his detailed knowledge, which we loved. Indeed he could even read some of the hieroglyphics! In our opinion this trip is better than visiting the Giza pyramids (which are amazing). It was less crowded and the views are striking. The Step Pyramid complex is vast and is still being excavated. We also got to venture inside both the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. This is not for the faint hearted and requires a lot of physical exertion. However, it is definitely worth the effort. There is not a lot to see in Memphis, but the massive statue of Ramses II is stunning. We didn't feel rushed at any point and we declined a visit to the carpet factory. We were dropped back at our hotel almost 6.5h after we started. Note: There was a technical problem every time when we tried booking this tour through TripAdvisor/Viator and so we ended up booking directly with Emo tours instead.

It was good but rushed - I added khan el Khalili to my tour as well. The driver was amazing. Picked me up from my hotel in new Cairo on time and showed me around on our way to Giza to pick up the tour guide. The guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. However, I felt rushed throughout the tour, especially towards the end. Initially I was planning on going inside Saqara but I felt rushed and didn’t. Now I’m regretting for not insisting on it. He didn’t want to go to khan el Khalili. He was going to just drop me off there. I said no please show me inside, but he didn’t want to walk me to the famous tourist spot where everyone takes the picture saying it’s too far inside. So after less than 10 min I said fine. Let’s go. The driver was wonderful and continued the tour and dropped me off at my requested destination in zamalek and showed me more Cairo craziness. Overall, it was nice, but feeling rushed was not a good feeling. I booked a different guide for khan khalili the next day and they turned out to be a wonderful experience.

Generally fine for a quick overview but quite rushed - Tour was well planned but given the limited time available it was quite rushed. Would have appreciated more information about the sites.
