- Gizeh Plateau - At 5:00 am, an Emo Tours representative will pick you up from your hotel or Nile Cruise in Luxor. You will then be transferred to Luxor International Airport for a flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, our guide will meet you at the exit gate holding a sign with your name and you will be transferred.
Begin your full-day tour exploring the Giza Pyramids, including the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. This will be followed by a visit to the Valley Temple, where the highest priests mummified the body of King Chephren and performed his final judgment.
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site remains unexcavated.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple has yielded several statues of Khafre, some of which were found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.
- Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.
- Great Sphinx - The Great Sphinx of Giza, often simply called the Sphinx, is a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature. Facing directly from west to east, it is located on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The face of the Sphinx is believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre.
