The best of Scotland! - Knowledgeable guide respectful to the interests of all on the tour. Learned much about the area of Aberdeenshire in all aspects of culture, society, and industry and historical Scotland.

Half day trip - This was the best of our trips! We had a Great driver/tour guide (Mr. Alex D.) The historical component was even better than reading in a book. Answered every question and engaged the small group. I liked the small size. The lunch was great place. I do believe I would rebook this one! and tell all. Perfect length.

Great day out - I can’t say anything but how excellent Jamie was delivering us with both such interesting information and to drive us where we needed to be. Weather was a little unkind at the beginning and Balmoral was closed but Jamie had it all covered. We went to another castle and stopped at points of interest when the weather cleared. We highly recommend this tour.

Terrific trip - Alex was great- engaging knowledgeable and on time. I particularly liked visiting spots not necessarily found in guide books like the suspension bridge and the river where the salmon were jumping. Great experience.

Amazing full-day tour with an amazing guide - Had a wonderful day. Our guide and driver Alex was amazing. He ha a lot of knowledge of local history and stories, but never too much. Also a very good driver. On narrow windy roads I often get sick, not with him, so another plus for that. During our trip he also played Scottish music, which I really enjoyed. Balmoral was as expected beautiful, and I highly enjoyed the surrounding gardens. Stops underway was also very nice. Can highly recommend this trip.

The royal family was in residence. Did not get in. - It was closed so we only saw the gate. The family was in residence so it couldn't be helped. I think we should've been rerouted to a different experience. Our guide was very informative. We really enjoyed her.

Okay - Overall we had a nice day. Balmoral was absolutely beautiful and even though you can only view the ballroom of the interior of the castle, the grounds are amazing and could take you far more than two hours if you wanted to see it all. Included in the ticket for balmoral is an extremely informative audio guide. Other than balmoral, the other stops on the tour were so so. You could take them or leave them and I don't feel the tour would be all that different. Our tour guide was not very talkative and did not provide a lot of information to us about the stops or the history of the local area. Additionally the layout of the van was more like a minivan than a coach bus so it could be an awkward seating arrangement depending on how many people are in your group or how many people are on the tour. It's a convenient way to get to balmoral from Aberdeen if that is what you're looking for. If you have another way to get to balmoral or if balmoral is not a must see for you, then this not a tour that I would recommend.
