Worth a visit - Well worth a visit. Only £10 per person to enter. Took the guide tour who volunteers to help people around museum and explain the story from starting up the Highlanders to the present day army. We spent close to 2 hours in museum as there much history to read about and artifacts to look at. The amount of medals that these soldiers earned and are on display is a tremendous effort to the different war efforts worldwide over the centuries. The silver wear and trophies on display are worth a visit. The officers mess with the expensive crockery and cutlery is a room that feels like you are underdressed to look at, lol. Visiting the trench outside gives a slight insight into trench warfare but obviously this does not make the real thing in comparison, however gives you a feeling what our ancestors had to do in order to give us what we have today. Free parking on-site. Cafe on-site. Gift shop on-site.

Really great museum - We stopped by on me and my friends road trip through Scotland as a final thing to see in Aberdeen. Great spot to see and if you stumble into Mr Jim Aitken it gets better. Fantastic enthusiasm for the history and teaching the visitors. Awesome objects and rooms to see. The WW1 trench they have were really eye opening. If you are reading this Jim, hope you get to see the armoury in Stockholm sometime. 👑

If you’re going to Aberdeen, don’t miss the Gordon highlanders museums - Can’t speak highly enough of the entire experience at the Gordon Highlanders Museum. We were in Aberdeen on Thursday past and booked the tickets first thing which was wise as it is very popular. Ample parking and a beautiful building and grounds. The exhibition with the audio tour is excellent and has some fantastic exhibits, coupled with the staff who couldn’t be more helpful or knowledgable. We have two teenage boys (13 + 16), who thoroughly enjoyed it which says a lot in an age of phones and iPads :) If you’re going to Aberdeen don’t miss it

Gordon Highlander’s Museum - My wife and I came to the Museum with her brother, who wanted to find out more about their Dad, who was in the Gordon Highlanders in WW2. The Museum was really interesting with so much information and history and the audio tour was really easy to follow. There was also the guided tour which was excellent and gave so many personal bits of info. The staff were amazing, especially Marcus, George and Norman. Thank you. Also many thanks to Gordon for filling in lots of gaps that we had and for looking into my father in laws history. Very much appreciated. We enjoyed a drink and cake in the café. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our visit. Thank you all very much. Highly recommended.
