A representative will collect you from your Aswan hotel in an air-conditioned bus to explore Abu Simbel, renowned for the magnificent Sun Temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Queen Nefertari. Discovered in 1813, these temples were nearly buried in sand. In 1960, with the assistance of the Egyptian government and UNESCO, they were relocated to prevent submersion by the Nile’s rising waters. Ramses II constructed the temple primarily to glorify himself, featuring a mural of his celebrated victory at the Battle of Kadesh, where his forces triumphed over their foes. To the north of Ramses’ temple lies the Nefertari Temple, built by Ramses II for his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari, among his 200 wives and concubines. After the tour, you will be returned to your Aswan hotel. Please note: if your accommodation is on Soheil Island, Hisa Island, or any Nubian hostel, an additional fee will apply.

Highly recommended - This was such an amazing trip. Zakarya was our tour guide and was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Throughout the various tours, Zakarya went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable by teaching us about local customs and curtesies and taking us to local shops and restaurants to give us a truly authentic experience. The private tours of these amazing historical sites is definitely the way to go. We were able to move through all of the sites at our own pace and felt like we had a much better experience than those who did the larger group tours.

Abu Simbel, Nile Cruise Luxor to Aswan - Even though there was some delay due to traffic congestion, we enjoyed our land tour from Aswan to Abu Simbel. Our guide Zakaria was knowledgeable, addressed all our questions, and was flexible working with us.

What a memorable experience! - Our flight arrived late, we were personally greeted by Kimo who had been waiting patiently for us. He introduced us to our tour guide Mohamed Hamed who majored in Archeology and gave us a plethora of knowledge of the surrounding area and the temples. On our way back my husband complained of his upset stomach and he stopped at a pharmacy to get him something to take. Very informative man, great photography skills and I would redo this tour or any other tour with him again.
