A Powerful Day - The visit to the Assin Manso River was an incredible experience! Brother Kofi’s guidance and knowledge were wonderful and helped to make this very meaningful. The castles were also powerful to visit. Lunch at the El Mina Castle restaurant: Anomansa was absolutely delicious! Jesse, our server, was also great. David, our driver and main tour guide for the overall experience was 10/10! He provided lots of information throughout the whole day; had great conversation and also provided space for us to reflect and relax. This was a day we will never forget. Thank you!

Money Well Spent ✨✨✨ - Frank turned up early . He was very processional for the whole day . He was quite knowledgeable on current affairs . We enjoyed each part of the journey even though it was a little harrowing listening to the guides , who were very knowledgeable. The Resturant for our lunch was very nice . The food was very enjoyable . We thought the price was very reasonable for this trip . Money well spent .

Worth it! - My friend and I decided to book a trip to Ghana as a present for ourselves upon graduating from University. We would have been hopelessly lost if it were not for Frank. He was our tour guide around Accra, and he helped us organize our entire trip and get to our destinations! We would have been completely lost if it weren't for Frank and his help.

An Amazing Experience - My husband and i had an amazing trip to Cape Coast and Kakum Park and Elmina Castle. Our guide Solomon is a walking Encyclopaedia. Kakum was a little bit stressful for us but Solomon had patience with us and made sure we moved at our own pace. The tour at Elmina and Cape Coast Castles was an emotional one. We really learnt a lot on this tour. We want to thank this company and our guide Solomon for such a memorable experience. We will use this company again on our next visit to Ghana.

Awesome & efficient day trip! - We did this tour with Frank after doing the Accra city tour. This one was just as wonderful! He has a good understanding of the historical importance of the castles and makes the experience educational. It was especially nice to have the same guide with for so much of the trip because we built a great rapport with him. He helps with bargaining and showing the best places to eat, even restaurants that accommodate vegetarian and vegan diets! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND FRANK! He was even flexible with showing us places that we were interested in that may not be on a standard tour. This day trip is PACKED and a bit long, but worth it. You can sleep on the ride back to Accra!

Good tour. Long Day. - The car picked us up from the hotel promptly at 5:30am. We thought it was going to take us to a central meeting point to meet up for a bus transfer, but turns out this tour was literally just us, which was a pleasant surprise. We first drove to Assin Manso, which took about 4 hours. At Assin Manso, we were the only couple there, so the experience was totally private. The guide, Kofi, was excellent and the experience was very personal, powerful, and framed the rest of the trips to the castles. The drive to the castles took about another 1.5 hours. We ordered lunch from the restaurant menu first, then went to Cape Coast Castle, which was another powerful experience. We then ate lunch, and drove about 15 minutes to Elmina Castle. While bigger, Cape Coast had a bigger impact for us, and I'm glad we did the sequence the way we did. The sights, the smell, the feel of the heat and difficult ventilation in the dungeons made the experience all the more impactful when you consider what it must have been like. Lunch at the restaurant was tasty. The drive back to the hotel took over 4 hours and we didn't return until after 7:30pm. Overall, we were so happy we chose the tour that included Assin Manso instead of the national park. This was the best part of the tour and shaped the whole experience. It was a pleasant surprise that it was truly a private tour, but our guides in the car did not tell us that much about the sites. They didn't want to take away from the guides at the individual sites, but they answered a lot of questions we had about life in Ghana and thoughts about different things. What could have been improved - the car was not that big and having to sit in the back seat for almost 10 hours became very painful on my knees. A SUV would have been better. Also, the roads are terrible and if my wife hadn't taken Dramamine, her car sickness would have been really bad. Having to leave so early meant we missed breakfast and we didn't know if we would stop anywhere to eat. It would be good to bring food or snacks. Also, we thought more cold water would have been available, but you have to pick it up off of hawkers on the road as you go. Overall, we would recommend this tour, but be prepared to spend 10 hours of a 14 hour tour in the car.
