Waterfall Massage
Aburi Botanical Gardens - The waterfall massage experience is a refreshing and invigorating adventure! The waterfall setting provides a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by lush greenery and the calming sounds of flowing water. The massage therapy is designed to relieve muscle tension, soothe the mind, and promote overall well-being. The experience includes standing under the waterfall, allowing the gentle water pressure to massage the skin and relax the muscles.
Cape Coast Day Tour
Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River Park - After breakfast, travel to Cape Coast with a stop at the Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River site, the burial place of two former slaves from the U.S. and Jamaica, re-interred in August 1998 during Ghana’s first Emancipation Day Celebration. Visitors will see the “Slave River,” where captured Africans were washed before being held in Slave Castles awaiting shipment to the Americas and the Caribbean.
Continue to Kakum National Park and Canopy Walk, located inland from Cape Coast and Ghana’s most visited attraction. The forest covers 375 square kilometers (145 sq mi) and is home to endangered species like the Diana monkey, giant bongo antelope, yellow-backed duiker, and African elephant. It is also an Important Bird Area, with 266 bird species, including eight of global conservation concern.
Elmina Castle Tour
Elmina Castle - After breakfast, drive along the scenic coast to Elmina fishing village, a place both picturesque and thought-provoking. Engage with local fishermen to learn about their trade and daily challenges, and meet the village fishmongers who demonstrate the stages of smoking fish in earthenware ovens.
Proceed to Elmina Castle for a guided tour of the first European settlement in Black Africa, built in 1482 by the Portuguese and used in the gold and slave trade. Enjoy a lunch break afterward.
Cape Coast Castle Experiences - After lunch, continue to Cape Coast Castle, passing beautiful beaches lined with coconut trees and fishing villages, as well as old slave and gold ports. Upon arrival, explore the castle with a guide who will share its tragic history. Cape Coast Castle is one of about 40 “slave castles” along West Africa’s Gold Coast and was the final stop for some enslaved Africans on the “middle passage” trading route to the Americas. Touring the castle, dungeons, and cells with a guide provides insight into the conditions faced by enslaved Africans and the dark history of slavery in Africa.
James Town Tour
James Town Lighthouse - The James Town Tour offers a fascinating exploration of one of the city’s oldest and most historic neighborhoods. Experience the rich cultural heritage of the Ga people, the indigenous inhabitants of the Accra region, and visit the famous Brazil House. Built in the 19th century by Afro-Brazilian returnees known as the Tabom people, these individuals were formerly enslaved Africans who returned to Ghana, bringing with them unique cultural practices, architectural styles, and language.
Drive to Labadi Beach for ATV and horse riding.
