Take advantage of this unique class to receive drumming lessons and other regional instrumental instruction from the locals. Enjoy some local songs with the community while you immerse yourself in the local tunes. Try your hand at the local drum and engage your body in various Ghanaian continental dance performances. Guided by a team of specially trained facilitators, explore the Djembe repertoire, which includes several traditional rhythms. Our classes introduce you to these rhythms, which are then developed and expanded as you advance. These traditional rhythms were originally played to celebrate traditional festivals and important ceremonial occasions but are now performed for entertainment.
