Review for Emmanuel – An Outstanding Tour Guide - Our group had the absolute pleasure of being led by Emmanuel on our eight-day journey through Ghana, and we could not have asked for a better guide. From Accra to Kumasi, Assin Manso, Cape Coast, Takoradi, and back to Accra, Emmanuel was the heartbeat of our experience—proactive, knowledgeable, and incredibly organized.
His deep understanding of Ghana’s history, culture, and food systems brought every site to life, making our visits to places like Makola Market, the W.E.B. Du Bois Center, Cape Coast Castle, and the Ashanti cultural sites in Kumasi truly unforgettable. He anticipated our needs before we even voiced them, ensured smooth logistics at every turn, and handled every detail with professionalism and warmth.
Beyond his expertise, Emmanuel’s passion for his country and his ability to connect with each member of our group made our trip all the more meaningful. He was more than a guide—he was a teacher, a storyteller, and a steady presence throughout our journey.
We are incredibly grateful for his leadership and commitment to making this experience seamless and impactful. Emmanuel, thank you for your dedication, your patience, and for sharing Ghana with us in such a powerful way!

Beyond my expectations of a cultural immersion - This trip exceeded all my expectations. I traveled with a group of 14 and between George and our driver we always felt secure and well-taken care of. I appreciated most the care with which George ensured that our group was prepared to understand the local customs and traditions as well as the historical richness of Ghana and West Africa.
George was patient, flexible, understanding, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. He fit into our group well.
I would definitely book with George again!!

George is the Best! - We had an absolutely amazing experience with George as our travel guide in Ghana! From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make sure our group was comfortable, entertained, and well taken care of.
George is incredibly knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights about Accra, Cape Coast, and the country’s rich history and culture. His sense of humor and engaging personality kept us smiling throughout the trip, and he was always accommodating to our needs and preferences.
Thanks to George, we were able to fully enjoy everything Accra and Cape Coast had to offer, from breathtaking sights to unforgettable moments. This trip exceeded our expectations, and we’re already planning to return to explore more of Ghana and Africa. Without a doubt, we’ll book with George again. Highly recommend his services

Exceptional Trip & Tour Guide - Accra and the Cape Coast are magnificent. We attended Afro Future, brought in the New Year beachside with superb food, drinks and a spectacular view! We did an amazing city tour that covered the WEB DuBois Center and Dr Kwame Nkrumah museum/park. We also took a trip down to Cape Coast to visit a slave dungeon, slave river and experience a naming ceremony. George Benson was the perfect guide to lead us in exploring Ghana. He is patient, extremely knowledgeable and he is an excellent storyteller. His recommendations are SPOT ON. I will be recommending him to all my family and friends who make the trip.

5-Star Origin Story Adventure - Kudos to Continent Tours for an exceptional experience. This customized tour allowed our multi-generational, multi-interest group to experience a gamut of Ghana’s treasures, from beaches to countryside life, natural wonders, traditions, history, crafts, culture, and cuisine. Shopping for Ghanaian goods was total joy! Pack an empty bag; you'll want to bring home more than you think you do right now.
All of our hotels were top-notch, with restaurants serving local and international food. Every buffet also had fresh veggies and salads. We had a private tour bus. Our driver Anim was a masterful navigator of the roads, and our congenial tour guide Elvis was a wealth of knowledge on customs, tribes, and current events. In Ghana we imbibed our origin story, the prequel.

Traveling in Ghana! - My cousin curated this trip with Continent Tours. This was my first trip touring with Continent Tours. We had Elvis as our tour guide. On the trip, we had our bus driver and bus assistant. It was a great learning experience to learn about the area and culture. Coming to Ghana, it’s nice to have a guide to show you where everything is and it takes the guess work out of trying to figure everything out on your own. All our hotels were comfortable and clean. It was nice to have transfers included in our trip. Pick up and drop off at the airport was seamless. Elvis and his team were nice to be around for the week. They were very patient with the 17 people that were in our group. We had a range of people from the age of early 20’s to 80’s. They looked after us while on the trip. We didn’t have to worry about our safety while traveling. I would recommend Continent Tours to family and friends.

The Travel Agent’s Perspective - Continent Tours is top notch!!! From our Tour Guide Elvis, our bus driver, our spotter and our air conditioned bus. Elvis is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of the questions we has about Ghana. Speaking from a Travel Agent perspective, “I will definitely use them again to help me plan future trips to Africa. They didn’t miss a single detail”

Great Guides, Long Drives, and Mixed Dining Experiences - I’d give this a 3.5-star rating, but the outstanding service from our tour guide warrants a solid 4 stars.
The food options were limited, with only three out of six restaurants being decent. Ordering individually improved the experience, while buffets were inconsistent—often lacking heat or quantity. Two of the three hotels were good, with Oak Hill Suites standing out for its excellent service and surprisingly tasty dinner despite not having a restaurant. In contrast, Ridge Royal Hotel was less accommodating, with inconsistent food and strict policies like not allowing guests to take towels.
The highlight of the trip was the tour guide and driver, Jacob and Elvis. Elvis was exceptionally patient, knowledgeable about Akan/Asante culture, and ensured our safety while advocating for us in the markets. Given the extensive time spent driving, a 9- or 10-day itinerary with a leisure day would improve the experience, especially since the last day was mostly spent traveling back from Kumasi.
