Additional Information

Immerse yourself in the profound history, culture, and heritage of Ghana with our 12 Day 11 Night Tour. During this journey, you’ll explore the chilling history of slavery through a visit to Cape Coast Castle, the grim fortress where so many were imprisoned. You’ll gain an understanding of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade as you witness the routes slaves traversed and the site of their last bath before being cruelly sent to a new, unknown world. Pay your respects at the tombs of two former slaves whose bodies were returned from the USA and Jamaica in 1998, a symbolic gesture which transformed the infamous ‘door of no return’ into a ‘door of return.’ If you wish, you can also participate in a traditional African Naming Ceremony for an additional fee.

  • Ghana had never the issue with Ebola even though there is a low risk of Malaria. We recommend you to use local anti-malaria medication for prevention available in every pharmacy. Do not forget to take repellent against mosquitoes with you.
