Treated Like Family - What I especially appreciate about this company is that, I told them all the things I wanted to do, and my trip was planned around that. I didn't do some of the "typical" things one might do in Ghana. I did things that I enjoy--like go to a library to discover new books, literature and authors. I was treated exceptionally well, and I didn't worry about anything while I was there. Everything was taken care of, and I experienced the trip of a lifetime!

Cape Coast Tour -A MUST - Mike was referred by a new business associate of ours. We have never met but communicated via WhatsApp. Mike helped us with our Visas the process was efficient and no issues when we arrived in Accra. Cape Coast tour day we were collected early 5am which was a plus as Accra is huge and some roads are being developed so you need additional time planning days out. Koby and Emanuel collected us, they were on time friendly and courteous. Nice vehicle with all the a/c we needed😊They already had breakfast for us in the car which was nice but I think a vegetarian option should have be made available beforehand. We arrived at Cape Coast and our driver stayed with us answered questions, explained historic events and were generally fun to be with it made our trip that much more enjoyable. We went to Kakum National park had a delicious lunch and could have walked the trail but we were too tired! Overall one of our best days in Accra. Thanks Mike we’ll be back again!

Horrible experience - unfriendly driver guide and misinformation about visa processes - My wife and I had a particularly bad experience with Abusua Travel on a guided tour from Accra (Ghana) to Abidjan (Ivory Coast) by the owner of the company. Below are the positives and negatives of our trip, noting the negatives far outweighed the positives. Positives: clean car, capable driver, private tour organised at Cape Coast Castle through driver's personal connection. Negatives: - Our driver-guide (Mike, the company owner) was not friendly at all. He rarely engaged in conversation and was almost always on his phone managing his business rather than guiding us or providing recommendations or information. When we first arrived in Accra airport, he did not even say "hello", but simply stated "the car's over there, I'm going to pay for the parking" while gesturing in a general direction as though we should know which car was his and make our way to it. He also charged us 50 USD for an airport pick-up in addition to the daily cost of 100 USD which is just unreasonable given the airport is in the middle of the city. - We were given false information about visas. Prior to the trip, we asked specifically about the visa process for overland crossing into Ivory Coast. Mike confidently advised us "not to worry" because "visas are available on arrival at the border" at a cost of between USD$50-100. This information proved to be completely false - visas were not available on arrival and the cost was fixed at 73 euros, as verified by multiple border officials and the Ivory Coast embassy in Ghana. This caused us to waste 2.5 days at the Ghana-Ivory Coast border and significant sums of money organising proper visas and rescheduling flights we would have otherwise missed. When questioned about the original information he provided and whether it was verified with any reliable source, he threatened to leave us at the border and return to Accra himself "if we were to start blaming" him. - We suspect we had inflated fuel costs. Based on his social media stories, Mike seemed to go on evening road trips after dropping us off at our accommodation (for example, one evening from Cape Coast to Takoradi which is 80km one-way). As we were responsible for paying for fuel, we likely funded these journeys. On balance, we cannot recommend this company and suggest other travelers look elsewhere.
