The protected area was home to the Shai people before they were ejected by the British in 1892, remains of Shai peoples works can still be found at the reserve.
- Volta River - We will end the day with a 30 minutes peaceful and scenic cruise down the Volta River. Soak in the natural vegetation and hills surrounding the river. Enjoy lunch at Royal Senchi Resort before heading back to Accra.

This tour surpassed my expectations! - Had an amazing time on this tour and with the guides! 9 hours flew by and I did not want the tour to end. Can't wait to book again with this company!

Wonderful Way to Celebrate Our Anniversary - I booked this excursion for my fiancé and I to celebrate our three year anniversary. Frank was a wonderful host ensuring that we were hydrated the entire time and even got us a special shout out on the radio from a friend for our anniversary! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Shai Hills and the boat ride on the Volta Lake. Lunch at the Royal Senchi Hotel was magnificent as the buffet offered a variety of delicious options. Frank also took someone of her pictures of us during our excursion to make day that much more memorable! When we return, because we will, we will most definitely be reaching out to him for another adventure.
