Highlights
- Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeirões - This excursion takes place in Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeirões, one of the most extraordinary places in the northeastern part of the island of São Miguel (+/- 45 minute drive away from the city of Ponta Delgada). Upon arrival, we will proceed with the distribution of your personal equipment and then set off on short walk of ~ 15min to our first stop where we will have our first safety briefing.
We will then continue on a short scramble uphill where we will then stop for our second safety briefing, where we will show you how to rappel before continuing onwards and upwards for another ~10min to the start of the canyon where the fun will begin!
After reaching the top of the canyon you will start the second part of your adventure. You can expect several jumps (between 2 and 7 meters in height), all optional, a natural slide and some abseils (between 5 and 15m in height). We will walk back along our initial path to the starting point.
NOTE:
– The exact itinerary including jumps, abseils and other techniques will depend on local conditions and seasons. The terrain, landscape and flow of the stream normally change throughout the year.

Super fun experience - a highlight of our island trip - We went together with family friends, ages 10 – 55, most with little to no previous experience, and everyone had a great time. Our guide was professional yet fun, helping everyone to both feel safe and have a fantastic time. All the equipment was provided and in good working condition.
The location is just stunning – I wish we had known and gone up early to spend some time there, maybe bring a picnic. The hike up was very hot in the wetsuits in the afternoon, but we were very thankful for them in the cold water. A good opportunity to push yourself physically and mentally while making some amazing memories.

Adventure trip! - This was a wonderful experience. The guides were amazing and funny. The only thing I would include in the trip description is what to bring. I booked this not knowing what to expect so I didn’t know I needed a bathing suit and towel. I also wish they included water.

Canyoning adventure for the brave ones 😎 - It was very pleasant and exciting , friendly and professional staff who provided a safe feeling ( also real safety).
Photos and videos will follow am curious!!
Recommended for everyone who loves an adventure and for the less daredevils there is the possibility to drop out earlier for example with the cliff jumping part!!
100% highly recommended and definitely worth it in this beautiful place with waterfalls and jungle 😎

Fun family activity - This was a fun family experience. Our family of six had a great time, from the 9 year old to the teenagers and parents. The staff were helpful and good with kids, the scenery was beautiful, and the adventure was great. After lots of tours and museums, our kids were so happy to get outside and jump in the water. Highly recommend!
