Very good experience - I had the pleasure of visiting the awash park while staying at the doho lodge where they had multiple hot springs and wild animals living nearby: monkeys, crocodiles and even ostriches! The guides (eyob and tekeste) were very informative and professional, i highly recommend booking this tour if you like beautiful landscapes and wildlife

Take a trip to the wild side - We saw a tortoise and a few birds at Awash Natl Park. We saw crocodiles and monkeys near the waterfalls. A hyena was also spotted. As the park’s brochure explains, it no longer has the numbers iof animals it’s famous for. The Tour Operator obtained our permission to change the itinerary and early next morning we were thrilled to see a variety of wildlife in the Aledeghi Wildlife Reserve! (ostriches, warthogs, oryx, gazelles, foxes, birds of multiple kinds, and a desert cat). Accomodations were unique and surprising with excellent food and coffee ceremony. Remember, it’s a safari — electricity is for a few hours at night and wifi isn’t guaranteed! Our driver Gita was amazing. Our guide Yemani was fantastic. Thank you!

So much to see... - The 2 days Awash national park tour was so amazing there is so much interesting things to visit and the accommodations were also so wonderful. And on the way back to Addis We visited the amazing place called Sodere and it was full of natural hot springs, and we had a great lunch there. The guide was so knowledgeable about the place and he made the trip more enjoyable for us.

Overpriced for what you got - The Awash river falls were stunning- it was great to see the crocodiles in their natural habitat. Unfortunately, the description of this trip does not match what is really planned. On the first day, after we arrived in Awash around 2p, our guide dropped us off at our guest house and was planning on no activities again until the next morning. We had to push them to take us to the park and the waterfalls, otherwise we would have had a long boring afternoon in the guest house. Also, the next day, we had to remind them about the hot spring portion of the tour as they were not planning on going. The guide and driver were super kind to my child and warm to us, but they were not very good at spotting wildlife in the park. The scout that is required and we were much better. It is also SUPER expensive, and I don't think worth the price. I would recommend booking from Addis (rather than in advance) and you can get a much better price.

I do not recommend, except if you want to see some specific species - The Awash National Park has been closed for two years for security concerns (or so the guide said), so the first drive was cancelled. The advertisement is a lie. In addition, the guide was late, tried to drop me at a crappy motel and not the one advertised, did not wake up at the time planned in the morning, kept making things up, and shortened the schedule on the way back. The drive in the second national park was good, for people who are not interested in the main typical species but want to see Ethiopian ones.

Overpriced and misrepresented - Be very aware that the trip is severely overpriced. Awash National Park is non existent. No fencing...
