Danakil 2 Nights 3 Day Tour - I've been on the tour for a long time. Mickey, our guide, keeps in touch on WhatsApp They were responsive and trusted. The response during the trouble was good. Travel time is long, but the road has been improved It wasn't that harsh. I heard it was hot, but it was windy and cold at night In some cases, measures may be needed. It was great to see the earth alive.

A once in a lifetime experience, not to be missed - Prepare to be amazed by one of the most stunning Places on Earth! The tour is very well organized, although not for the weak ones: you’ll sleep under the stars, travel off-road for hours, and won’t have access to electricity or running water for 2.5 days. But it’s all worth it; and the guides are knowledgeable, helpful, and very friendly.

An exceptional adventure in a lifetime - Communication with Mickey, before and after the circuit, was fluid and reassuring. The care at Semera was effective. The programme has been slightly adjusted to take account of other groups but all planned visits have been respected. However, more time at the Dallol would have allowed for a better balance. The guide Aman, was both professional and friendly, he also has a real talent for photography. The driver performed brilliantly, even on particularly difficult stretches of road. Despite a slight flutter on the first day, the team showed attention to the participants. The conditions of the stay are rudimentary but have been sublimated by unique moments, such as sleeping under a starry sky – a magical experience. The Danakil Depression offers unique and surreal landscapes, a once in a lifetime experience. I highly recommend Danakil Depression Tour for a unique adventure, as well as its organizer, Mickey, who manages the coordination of the stay with excellence.

Well Organised Brilliant Trip to one of the World's Strangest Places - This trip has got to have been one of the most "other worldly" tours I have ever done. The Danakil Depression is one of the lowest places on the surface of the earth and is one of the hottest continuously inhabited places on the planet. Although temperatures regularly exceed 40C the dryness of the atmosphere means it's not as oppressive as it might sound. We were collected from Semera airport then driven to lake Karum a huge salt lake 125 metres below sea level, the stunning colours of Dallol that look like they've been photo shopped (they haven't) and the listening to the roar of the earth in the Ertale volcano, have to be witnessed - photo's don't do them justie. Living in a village in the same style as the local people (which is basic) and at the base camp of the volcano means you are very close to all the things where you want to spend time. Plenty of bottled water was provided as was tasty and nutritious food cooked by our own chef). All of this was organised for me by Danakil Depression Tours. I have to admit to being a bit nervous about the tour but Mickey (the owner of the business) who is an absolute star, put my mind at ease. Nothing was too much trouble for him and the whole trip ran like clockwork. I would have no hesitation in recommending Danakil Depression Tours in general and this tour in particular, to anyone thinking of going to the Danakil Depression.

Professional tour provider away from mass tourism - After a long search, I decided on Danakil Depression Tours. I have done 2 tours to the Danakil and Omo Valley so far. Everything is very thoughtful. Both the guides, as well as the drivers and the cooks did a very good job. Safety is very important. The tours really still take place away from mass tourism, which thank God does not yet exist in Ethiopia. I can absolutely recommend the tour provider. I got in touch via WhatsApp. Mickey as owner, answered all questions perfectly. The included flights were always booked in time and the flight data was transmitted.
