- National Museum of Ethiopia - The National Museum of Ethiopia houses many valuable local archaeological finds, including the famous fossilized remains of “Lucy,” a partial skeleton discovered between 2000 and 2004. The basement is dedicated to archaeological and paleoanthropological sections. The first floor features objects from ancient and medieval periods, as well as regalia and memorabilia from former rulers, including Emperor Haile Selassie. The second floor displays artwork in chronological order, from traditional to contemporary pieces, with Afewerk Tekle’s massive African Heritage being one of the most notable.
