Many Ethiopians continue to make a pilgrimage and seek out the area’s curative holy water against evil spirits and any health disorders.\n\nWe will pick you from your hotel after breakfast for an early departure (around 7.30 hour) and leave Addis Ababa to the north. We will pass through the Entoto Hills, which offer stunning views at the capital.\n\nPlenty time is available to stop to enjoy the beautiful landscape, meet the people busy with their daily work and make pictures.\n\nAfter a two hour drive we arrive at Debre Libanos where we visit the church and the recently opened museum. A short, steep, path leads us to the cave where Tekle Haimanot have been praying. We enjoy a late lunch with breathtaking views over the Jemma River Gorge. After lunch we make a short walk to Ras Darge’s bridge before we are heading back to Addis Ababa. We will drop you at your hotel late afternoon.

HEVEN do exist - Sometimes as a local, I need to disappear to the wilderness since Deborah Leanos 40 miles far from the main city, it is the best destination For me It’s like one stone hitting two birds I can visit the holy sites and the beautiful landscape So what to expect from your trip first the roads it’s a bit tuff need experienced driver there are shops and motels near the church even bank are available both vegan and non vegan are available when we see the Portuguese bridge and view of mountains we need to be careful and should go with local guide for safety
