A wonderful 9 day trip around Omo Valley meeting the southern tribes. A once in a lifetime experience. They are the best - We had an absolutely outstanding trip. Our guide and driver were very experienced, knowledgeable and always attentive to every detail to make our trip the best possible. We always felt safe and welcome everywhere we went, accommodation and food were excellent and we have learnt so much about the culture and the tribes from them. Thank you !

5-Days Omo Valley Experience - We highly recommend this tour, which we joined as four friends from Turkey. Our guide Ermi and our driver Fahmi were incredibly helpful throughout our 5-day tour. We absolutely loved the region and were deeply impressed by it. Even though our lost luggage only arrived after 4 days, we did not experience any problems thanks to the excellent organization. All the hotels we stayed at, our transportation, and the entire tour planning were perfectly organized. We sincerely thank Ermi and the whole Top Omo Valley tour team for everything!

How to fall in love with Ethiopia - I am Domenico, a solitary traveller, I took an 8 days tour in the Omo Valley, relying on TOP OMO VALLEY TOURS by Mr Minalu, a very kind person who has always provided support and solutions, adapting the entire tour to my needs from the initial programming and with highly competitive prices. It was a challenging trip but made easy and beautiful thanks to my guide Ermi and my driver Gimi, very kind and always caring people that I will never stop thanking for their preparation and professionalism. I was constantly followed in every safe move by Mr Minalu. They all cared about my comfort throughout the trip, treated me like their brother. I never had to worry about any expenses, it was all included in the tour: transportation, water, food, hotel and lodge accommodations and even tips for photographs. In addition to the classic tourist targets we made photographic stops and visits to markets off the usual tourist routes getting in pleasant contact with the local population. I had the chance to photograph the (must-see) bull jumping ceremony of the Hamar tribe, I entered the huts, saw colorful markets, participated in coffee ceremonies, learned to recognize local plants, birds, customs and customs, met wonderful people. It was a trip that far exceeded the best of my expectations, I certainly came back much richer than at the start. Highly recommended.

Omo Valley Photography Tour: Fantastic Experience - We are an Italian couple and we did with Top Omo Valley Tours an extraordinary 9 days tour in the Omo Valley (Omo Valley Photography Tour). The tour is very well structured and, alternating nights camping with some nights in lodges, allows you to reach in total safety territories that otherwise would not be visited. Minalu has given us the maximum support from the first contact, has great competence and professionalism in what he does, as well as an excellent knowledge of the territory that, combined with the passion for his work, make a trip of a few days an unforgettable experience, which leaves its mark. Our guide Ermi was truly outstanding. Ermi manages to make even the most complex situations simple and with professionalism and sympathy has always been attentive to all our needs and ready to adapt the activities to ensure the best experiences. He is very prepared and has always satisfied our curiosity, and is also a great help for those who love to photograph, giving advice and useful directions. Even our driver Eli was very good, considerate and professional always made us feel safe on our 4x4. Minalu’s network and support with local guides specific to the individual tribes has allowed us to have truly authentic experiences and to take part, adapting the itinerary from time to time, in incredible traditional ceremonies such as bull jumping or wedding ceremonies. I think there is no better way to discover the Omo Valley in a sustainable and authentic way than with Top Omo Valley Tours. Thanks to Minalu, Ermi and Eli for the fantastic experience in Ethiopia!

5 Stars All The Way With Ermi and Gidi and this Adventure Experience - This tour was so well organized and we had a fantastic experience touring with our Tour Guide Ermi and Driver Gidi. It's hard to wrap the 10 day experience into a few paragraphs but if you're a photographer or interested in adventure travel, you have to go. Ermi is a fantastic guide and cook and he took care of us in a professional matter, but also helped us have the best experiences as photographers. Some of the highlights were of course seeing the Suri (Surma) tribe and working with KoKo as our handler there, we were able to have a great photographic experience allowing us to get some beautiful photographs. We even attended a cow letting ceremony which was a bonus. We were also fortunate enough to attend a Hamar Bull Jumping event that was quite interesting a though I'm well traveled, had never seen anything like it. The accommodations were great and though we were in a tent for a few tribe visits, we were always comfortable, well fed and felt safe. We also had the pleasure of meeting the Owner, Minalu while we were there and he was gracious and so well organized throughout the whole planning process of this trip. If you're unsure about this trip and love adventure travel, I would say don't hesitate and you'll have an experience of a lifetime.

I can't say enough good things about Omo Valley Tours and Minalu. - Omo Valley Tours was fantastic, and Minalu was by far the best guide I've had. He knew everybody and had connections that allowed us photography opportunities we would never have had otherwise. He was attentive and had a great knowledge of all the tribes we went to see. I would definitely use him again. If I could give him ten stars I would.

The Best Omo Valley Ethiopia Tour Operator (Travel Agency) - It was amazing experience. Tour was good organized, everything was smooth. We saw 4 different tribes, tried local food and drinks, was part of couple tribe ceremony's. Minalu is professional tour Gide, he respond to all our needs and requests. Definitely can recommend this company for full Omo walley experience.

Experience of a lifetime - This was the third time I’d visited the Omo Valley region, and the second time I’d used Omo Valley Tours and its indefatigable owner Fitzum. I had been a solo visitor before but was accompanied by two friends this time around, it being their first visit to Ethiopia. We spent 11 days travelling around, visiting a variety of tribes, witnessing a number of ceremonies, observing different practices, all of which provided spectacular photographic opportunities. Fitzum had local contacts within the different tribes who advised him what was happening and when and he orchestrated our schedule accordingly. There is so much to see, the tribes still abiding to the way of life they have pursued for centuries. I observed events and activities that I hadn’t seen on my previous visits. Long distances were involved, but the countryside was varied and beautiful. The weather was variable, but this just added to our sense of adventure. We either stayed at a lodge or camped near one of the villages. With the latter, Fitzum had a team to erect the tents and organise the camp, and a “bush” toilet and shower were provided. Within the strictures of being in rural Ethiopia, the cook who accompanied us produced breakfasts, lunches and dinners. It was an AMAZING experience and a photographers heaven. Fitzum understands how photographers operate and is aware of their needs. I can’t recommend him enough in this respect alone. But on top of this, the logistics are well thought out, and he is able to adapt to changing circumstances as they arise, which, being Africa, they do so quite often! My recommendation would be to visit sooner rather than later as one can see the impact that modern life and external forces are having on the tribal way of life. You won’t be disappointed, especially if you utilise Omo Valley Tours. Many thanks to Fitzum and his team for an absolutely incredible experience.
