Seeing a koala cross the... - Seeing a koala cross the road & then hang out in the tree watching us! Our tour guide ‘KI Google Will’ was amazing & ensured our day was one to remember!

Great value for money - Despite the length of the day, it was brimming with engaging activities and captivating sights. The tour guide, well-versed in Kangaroo Island's nuances, was not only friendly but also incredibly informative. His extensive knowledge added depth to the experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Long day but really enjoyable! - Prepare for an early rise, as the journey to Kangaroo Island begins well before dawn from Adelaide. The drive to Cape Jervis offers a splendid sunrise view before boarding the ferry. Our driver provided engaging commentary and even paused to allow us a glimpse of kangaroos in the fields. The ferry ride was seamless, setting the stage for our exploration of the island at Penneshaw. The highlight at Raptor Domain was the interactive Birds of Prey show, offering an up-close view of these splendid raptors. Lunch at Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery was enjoyable, coupled with an informative tour on eucalyptus oil extraction, unique to the island. At Cliffords Honey Farm, we indulged in delicious ice cream and discovered the exclusive Ligurian honeybee found only here. A brief photo stop at Pennington Bay preceded our visit to False Cape Wine Cellar, where a variety of wines were savoured (though a palate cleanser between tastings would have been ideal). The day concluded with a return ferry to Penneshaw and a bus ride back to Adelaide, arriving around 22:00. It was a fulfilling, albeit lengthy, day, so consider resting well if you plan multiple tours during your stay in Adelaide.

Long day but worth every penny! - Get ready for an early wake up because Kangaroo Island is not a stone's throw away from Adelaide ;-) You'll have the chance to se the sun rising on your way to Cape jervis where you will get the ferry to the Island. Nice commentary from our bus driver, who also slowed down to let us see groups of kangaroos gathering in the fields outside Adelaide. Smooth journey by ferry both ways and in Penneshaw started the real discovery of the Island. At Raptor Domain it was really exciting to take part in a free-flight Birds of Prey presentation and we had the chance to see from a really close distance these magnificent birds. Good lunch at the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery and interesting tour about the process of extraction of the oil from the plant which grows only on this island. Next stop was the Cliffords Honey Farm where we had the chance to cool down with a tasty ice cream and learn about a very interesting fact: Kangaroo Island is the last place in the world where the pure Ligurian honeybee remains. After that, we headed towards False Cape Wine Cellar, after stopping for a photo (a very quick stop unfortunately, and from the top of the cliff) at Pennington Bay. At the Cellar we had the possibility to taste different kinds of wines (maybe it would have been a good thing to have something to nibble between the different tastings, otherwise the flavours get mixed up by the time you arrive to the last wine). It was then time to go back to Penneshaw to take the ferry again, and once we arrived on the mainland we found the bus that took us back to Adelaide, where we arrived at around 22:00. It was quite a long day, and if you think of doing more than one tour while you are staying in Adelaide, make sure you take some time to rest after a day out like this one ;-)

Full day event - This was an excellent tour but be prepared for the full 17 hours. With so much to do this is not to be missed. Though its an early start and late finish its the traveling that is long rather than the actual events.

Exploring Kangaroo Island - We took our car to self-explore Kangaroo Island. The Sealink Ferry is the only way to cross with a car. The Ferry staff were very welcoming at Cape Jarvis, explaining loading and unloading procedures very clearly making the experience very pleasant. The ferry trip across took about 45 minutes. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Well worth using if you are taking your car.

Kangaroo Island day trip from Adelaide. - After much consideration, we picked this tour because it offered a great way to get around the island without disrupting our pre booked accommodation. It’s an early start – 6:15 am pickup from the hotel and drop off at well past eleven pm in our case, but the early start was well worth it. A very pleasant bus drive from Adelaide down to Cape Jervis, where we caught the ferry to Penneshaw. The highlight of the day (for me) had to be the Raptor Sanctuary. It was a terrific show, with the bird handlers showing off their highly intelligent and well trained charges, who seemed to enjoy the show (and the treats) as much as the audience did! Other visits included the Eucalyptus Oil Factory, the Honey Farm with many great products on offer – don’t miss their honey icecream! - and the False Cape Winery. The winery tasting was well organized, ran very smoothly and had some lovely wines on offer. Sadly, no sparkling wine is made there. Must mention our bus driver Adam who took us around the island, seemed to know everybody and had a wealth of information available on everything to do with the Island. He was a great Shepherd of Lost Sheep, assuring us that (a) he knew which bar we were in and (b) he wouldn’t leave without us!

So much to see not enough time - The start of the day was not great. The first bus driver from Adelaide to ferry was super rude. Once we were on Kangaroo Island Scott our tour guide picked us up and then he was marvellous. He is soo knowledgeable about KI and his story were awesome to hear. The several stops were great however there is so much to see on Kangaroo island that we only just scraped the surface. Would have love to stay a full week. The day was very long with over 9 hours of travel time.

Just an average tour - Not much to see or feel. Will not re-visit or recommend to anyone. Mostly gum trees and nothing really scenic. The bird show and bee hive show were interesting.

Tour very poorly designed. Waste of time and money - Waste of time (16 hours) and waste of money ($500). Started on-time at 6 am, 2 hours on a bus, then almost an hour ferry. RT trip Adelaide to Kangaroo Island took total 6 hours. One hour lunch-OK food, but everything (three different salads and meat) were dumped on one plate, so it was hard to taste any particular food. One hour free time at the end, as our bus driver has to dive somewhere. Out of 8 remaining hours we drove from one place to another for another 4 jours. Kangaroo Island was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. Only one stop was worth visiting-the bird sanctuary with a great presentation. Everything else was a joke, for example, how to make plant oil with the majority of time devoted to shopping. Next stop-honey farm, again 15 min presentation and more shopping. Last stop-wine tasting and more shopping. Kangaroo Island is the home to a few National parks with exaotic plants and animals, we so none. We stop ed for 5 min to see what we came to see on this tour-beautiful lanshapht. Nature Beaty for 5 min. Very disappointed. We were dead tired and saw nothing. Wine tasting and honey making are all around the world with not much difference. Tout was poorly designed. I guess tour company gets some commission for bringing a bus fool of people shopping. The last, but not least-very few roads are paved, most are dirt and gravel, so expect bumpy ride
