A cruise worth taking - Weather was perfect and so was the tour. The bus driver Phil was knowledgeable and ready to make the day a success for all passengers. The Proud Mary was a beautiful vessel and its crew pleasant and friendly. Lunch was great and the Murray is such a beautiful river. The drive back through the Adelaide Hills was a perfect end to the day, especially the spotting of koalas in their natural habitat - a thrill for both overseas and local passengers.

Proud Mary Lunch Cruise, Mannum and Melba's Chocolates - A highly enjoyable day starting with a drive past Callington, Strathalbyn and Murray Bridge on the way for a two-hour lunch cruise onboard the Proud Mary. Our driver/tour guide Phil gave great commentary during the drive and was good humoured. The Proud Mary was recently renovated and looked fantastic on the inside. We had self-serve coffee/tea and cake or fresh fruit immediately after boarding and the staff brought out the mains and dessert. No more buffet lunch due to COVID-19. The mains was a small portion of chicken with vegetables which tasted delicious. It might be too small a serve for some people though. The dessert was caramel crème brûlée which tasted amazing. Captain Peter hardly gave any commentary during the cruise but we were offered photo ops and wearing the Captain's hat. Mannum was lovely but quiet and we spent most of the time in the Visitors Information Centre and the Mannum Hotel. We love Melba's Chocolate Factory but the Cheese Factory was closed. Maybe due to the 40 degrees C weather? Our chocolates melted on the way home but they still tasted great. Thank you driver Phil and Adelaide Sightseeing and the crew onboard Proud Mary for a wonderful day.

Relaxing tour - We booked the tour for the 25th january 2025. We were picked up by our guide Gerry directly at the hotel. We lived a fantastic day with a vidit on Mount Lofty summit and a relaxing cruise on the Murray River with a delicious lunch. This tour is highly recommended.

Staff with poor customer service skills - Bus driver was 10+, ship captain was good, staff on the river cruise were apparently all new except one and so were not helpful. My partner and I were not able to sit together at lunch because all spaces for our group was only at certain tables, we were told “work it out with your group”. I am suppose to ask people who want to sit together to move?” We had to get up and fill our small water class at a central location and were told we were not allowed to have a jug of water. Very unhelpful staff.

Disappointing choice - The two course lunch was lovely & everyone by me enjoyed - thought we were going out on a paddle steamer, it wasn’t - we only cruised the Murray river maybe 2hours enough to have lunch the other 6hours was time on a bus or free time with cheese or chocolate that was our disappointment - we could have stayed in Adelaide for a posh lunch & explored

Cruise very lovely / chocolate factory overrated - The boat tour was very nice and lunch was also tasty I personally find that the chocolate factory and cheese factory is overrated I would rather go to Hahndorf as an alternative eg combine Hahndorf with Murray river cruise

Over all I would say we paid for a 4 star trip and got a 1 star trip. - Hi Tripadvisor, I was not happy about the change of venue I was given at the last minuet. I booked one trip and got nothing I booked for, i paid $191 per person and the Murray Bridge trip was $189. First i was ambushed at the bus station saying we were not going on to the Mannum trip. Second I paid more money for the the trip I was taken on. Other people on the trip were not happy as well. Third our trip to Handoff did not happen, most disappointing. Fourth Our trip into Woodside was so rushed we only got a few minuets at the chocolate factory. Fifth the bus driver was scaring everyone with his diving on the windy roads through the hills. He was asked to slow down and he ignored the passengers.

Poor planning - Delayed by a group of passengers who were 30 minutes late despite strict time deadlines. The bus driver was not advised that the Proud Mary was not running. We ended up trying to catch another boat but missed the deadline due to the late group. Ended up at Handorf where I have been before. This was a waste of my limited time in Adelaide. Poor planning. Offered a full refund but does not compensate for lost travel time in Adelaide.
