It’s a rebirth of sorts in the waters of the Gulf of Guinea, following a few emotionally engaging days in West Africa. The celebration culminates in a delectable lunch buffet right on the beach, or perhaps a relaxing massage by the waterfall, all at your own cost.

For those who love the beach, a stroll along Labadi Beach or a swim in the Gulf of Guinea can be the perfect way to cool off.

CAPE COAST | HISTORIC SLAVE TRADE CASTLES
Elmina Castle - In the morning, you’ll visit Elmina Castle, the oldest European building in Africa, erected by the Portuguese in the 14th century. The castle, used for trading gold, ivory, and slaves, is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Outside the castle is a lively fishing village with colorful boats, where fishermen brave the ocean waves daily. The alleys in the old town exude the vibrant energy of its colonial past.
Kakum National Park - Visit Kakum National Park for a unique experience. Start with a walk on the forest floor to learn about our ancestors’ lives, and see birds, butterflies, and possibly some of the park’s 40+ species of mammals, including monkeys and forest elephants. The highlight is the canopy walk, Africa’s only aerial walkway, spanning 1,000 feet with seven bridges, offering a breathtaking view from 150 feet above the ground.
KUMASI | ASHANTI KINGDOM
Manhyia Palace Museum - We leave for Kumasi with a flight to the second-largest city in Ghana, home to the Ashanti Kingdom, for the traditional naming ceremony. Upon arrival in Kumasi, the historical and spiritual capital of the old Ashanti Kingdom, you’ll feel the deep-rooted cultural heritage.
The Ashanti people were one of the most powerful nations in Africa until the end of the 19th century when the British annexed Ashanti Country to their Gold Coast colony. The tribute paid today to the Asantehene (King) is the best evidence of their past splendor and strength.
Participate in a naming ceremony also known as ‘Din to’. The Akan people have a unique way of performing this ceremony. The naming rites will be performed at an Ashanti Kingdom Palace and the Adawonmase Family, where a new Ashanti name shall be given after initiation. These names are usually day-born names and are often linked to great ancestors who lived exemplary lives.
ACCRA | FEED THE HUNGRY PROJECT | DEPARTURE
Kotoka International Airport - On the last day before your departure, we invite you to join us in our “FEED THE HUNGRY” initiative. Our foundation, “THE LOFLIN-HART PROJECT,” along with our partners, helps feed street kids, women, and other people in need in Accra. Your participation in this effort to give back to the motherland is greatly appreciated.
Later in the evening, we will transport you to the airport for your departure. We also warmly welcome anyone in the group who is willing to support this initiative. Every bit of help is cherished!
