Highlights
  • Marina D’agadir - The marina spans 18 hectares by the sea, facing the bay. It’s among Morocco’s most significant tourist ventures. Investors Aziz Akhannouch, Ali Ouakrim, and Ali Zaid poured 18 million dirhams into the project. A Canarian company, Marinas Canarias, constructed a large portion in collaboration with Marina Agadir. This was one of the initial economic cooperation efforts between the Agadir Souss-Massa Draâ region and the Canary Islands government.

Officially opened in September 2007, the marina features residences, hotels, nearly 130 shops, as well as restaurants, cafes, and a marina accommodating around 300 boats.

The marina is perfect for daytime or evening relaxation.

  • Agadir Kasbah - Known as “Agadir Oufella,” this castle was built in the 16th century but was destroyed during the 1960s earthquake. The Kasbah sits atop a high hill, offering a stunning view of Agadir city and its surroundings.
  • Mosquee Mohamed V - Located in the Talborjt district, this mosque is the largest in the city, situated at the junction of February 29 Street and General Kettani Avenue.

Named after the grandfather of the current King Mohamed VI, its carved wooden doors, intricate mosaics, and grand scale make it one of the region’s most beautiful mosques.

As with other mosques in the Kingdom, access is limited to Muslims.

  • Souk El Had d’Agadir - “Souk Al Had” is the city’s largest market, offering a fascinating shopping experience for a variety of goods.

Recommended outing - Thank you Samir and driver Muhammad for such a wonderful and informative half day tour of Agadir. We were collected from our hotel and there was only us, family of three), and taken to the cable cars. The ride to the Kasbah at the top was Panoramic, with wonderful views of Agadir. At the top beware of the pedlars who are onto you as soon as you arrive, especially the man with the snake! We paid extra to enter the Kasbah which is well with the money to see and find out more of the history of the place. We visited the mosque (outside only) and the argon factory, which is really good. The market was a bit too busy for us but on saying that a cultural delight, not to be missed. Samir was interesting and informative about Agadir’s history and life in this Moroccan city. He was happy to answer our questions too. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and careful driver for our outing.

Good day in Agadir - Our guide, Bosh (?), was easy to understand and showed us different parts of the city and points of interest. We had plenty of time at each stop including time to shop at the souk.

Nice Half Day Agadir City Trip - Our knowledgeable guide Mohamed arrived on time for Hotel pickup. Lovely Air-conditioned Mercedes Vito. Unfortunately trip was booked on Monday when a main attraction "Souk al Had" was closed. So we stayyed at Agadir beach instead longer. After a few local stops, we went to Kasbah fort and Argon production site. The final stop at city centre allowed us to pay visit to central mosque area. We were allowed 2 hours. Beautiful architecture. Offerred Zuhar prayers. We were safely dropped back to Hotel in afternoon. It was nice informative trip without breaking the bank. Highly recommended if you are on few days trip.

very annoyed that our tour guide made stops at 2 different stores as a shameless ploy to buy items. Shameless. - the souk and casbah were interesting sites, however the entire tour was soured by the guide's stopping at two shops for tourists to buy items that had nothing to do with seeing the highlights of the region. My time and money were completely wasted by this crass attempt to make some extra money. Very disappointed. I've already cancelled a scheduled Viator tour due to this experience.

Very weak tour. Tour... - Very weak tour. Tour guide tried but the experiences were under whelming. The guide was very worried about a couple that did not show up and did not focus on his guests. The two stops to sell us oil and the various items in a craft shop were a complete waste of time.

Didn't bother to collect me from hotel. - I'd love to be able to share a review of my trip that I was really looking forward to, but as I was never collected from my hotel, I'm unable to. Super annoyed, as waited for an hour without anyone arriving. Refund request in process due to this.
