- Essaouira - Departure from the hotel is at 8:00 a.m. We take the coastal road to Essaouira, 170 km away. The Medina of Essaouira was classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001 and is also known by its Berber name MOGADOR. On the way we stop to see some wild beaches and the goats on the argan trees. The Medina, the old town, appears in blue and white and is reminiscent of the French city of Saint Malo. We discover the Scala, the small streets, as well as the fishing port. We will have lunch in a restaurant by the sea and are sure to try the delicious seafood…
