Unveiling the Hidden Treasures of Naxos and Schinousa: A Serene Cruise Adventure
Drawn by the promise of hidden gems and serene waters, I embarked on the Naxos and Schinousa Cruise. Join me as I explore secluded beaches, vibrant marine life, and charming island villages.
Setting Sail on the NAVIGATOR
The anticipation was palpable as I stepped aboard the NAVIGATOR, a stunning 19-meter yacht that promised a day of discovery and relaxation. As a marine biologist, the allure of the ocean is ever-present, and the opportunity to explore the hidden gems of Naxos and Schinousa was irresistible. The gentle sway of the yacht as we set sail from Agia Anna was calming, and the promise of crystal-clear waters and secluded beaches was exhilarating.
Our first stop was Roos, a hidden beach on the west coast of Naxos. The water was a mesmerizing shade of blue, inviting us to dive in and explore the underwater world. As I snorkeled, I marveled at the vibrant marine life that thrived in these untouched waters. The tranquility of the beach, far removed from the bustling tourist spots, was a refreshing reminder of nature’s unspoiled beauty.
Discovering Alygaria Kampos
Our journey continued to Alygaria Kampos, a secluded spot surrounded by rocks, with a unique blend of sand and pebbles. The crystal-clear waters were perfect for snorkeling, and I couldn’t resist the call of the sea. The underwater landscape was a kaleidoscope of colors, with schools of fish darting around the rocky formations. It was a marine biologist’s dream, and I felt a deep sense of connection with the ocean.
The serenity of Alygaria Kampos was complemented by the stunning views of the surrounding cliffs. As I floated on the water’s surface, I felt a sense of peace and contentment that only the ocean can provide. The gentle lapping of the waves against the rocks was a soothing soundtrack to this idyllic setting.
Exploring Schinoussa
After a delightful BBQ lunch on the beach, featuring local Naxian delicacies and refreshing drinks, we set sail for Schinoussa. The island’s charm was evident as we docked at the port, with its picturesque coastline and inviting waters. With three hours to explore, I chose to wander through the charming village of Chora, the island’s capital.
The narrow streets and whitewashed buildings were quintessentially Cycladic, and the local cafes offered a perfect spot to relax and soak in the island’s laid-back atmosphere. As I sipped on a coffee, I reflected on the day’s adventures and the hidden treasures we had uncovered. The return journey to Agia Anna was filled with a sense of fulfillment and a renewed appreciation for the ocean’s wonders.
The Naxos and Schinousa Cruise was a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, offering a glimpse into the serene beauty and vibrant marine life of the Small Cyclades. For those who share my passion for the ocean, this cruise is an experience not to be missed. Naxos and Schinousa Cruise
