Greek holidays - In the summer, we visited the Knosa Palace with guide Michael. It was interesting for the children to see for themselves, because ancient Greek culture has a place in the school curriculum. It is so important that you have an experienced guide with you in these historic sites. We're lucky to have that. Guide Michael talked very interestingly about historical facts and events of long past years. About the work of archaeologists from all over the world. The mysteries of the oldest culture on earth that still need to be solved. And to prove it, we visited a mountain tavern with a pottery workshop, where we took a master pottery class. The kids were passionate about the process. And of course, after all the adventures, we had dinner in the tavern. It's a separate story. National Greek cuisine is something amazing. Very friendly guide Michael, speaking many languages, you can see he is passionate about his work. Took us in a comfortable and safe Jeep, high up the mountains. There's always water in the car. For any question the guide has something to tell. I think we need to come again so we can learn more about the island of Crete and its secrets.

A wonderful day out with an even better host - The entire day was brilliant. We were picked up by Michael at 8:40ish and from there on we had a lovely conversation, completely at ease within the beautiful air conditioned car. Also water was provided which was a wonderful bonus. We went to Knossos Palace that was lovely, and not totally busy, although a few tours were taking place with many people that we struggled to get past at times. From there on, we went to the museum which wasn't too busy, before heading off to see the old pottery village in which my girlfriend had the opportunity to make her own piece which was very cool! We then had a lovely lunch which filled us up at a nice relaxed taverna. Michael was great to be with from start to finish. Full of facts and interesting conversation pieces from the history of Crete to Olive oil, to pottery and everything in between. A joyful day out had by all!

Amazing, historical and cultural tour, loved by child and adult alike! - My 9 year old son and myself had a wonderful day on this trip with Michael as our guide. He obviously has a passion for his work and people. My son loved hearing all the greek stories and facts. The knossus temple was beautiful, but hot ( the tour provided plenty of cold water throughout the day) but remember you hats/ shade as natural shade was limited. We had great experience trying our own pottery, and a tasty creatan lunch. Michael balanced the tour in two languages ( English and Russian) beautifully, and it was great to share it and experience greece with people from another country and experience. Thankyou, If we come back to Crete we would love to do some of your other tours as a family.

Knossos by land rover - Excellent trip with our fabulous guide Petra, forest fires meant the trip had to be amended but call from the company in the morning meant we could still go ahead with an alternative. Great information provided by Petra on route to knossos about the mythology and more recent history. Good to be able to see the site on our own and we'll worth doing the trip with this company and avoiding the coach loads trailing round the site. Off to cave of milatos, very poignant information given bt Petra. We chose this as we couldn't get to the pottery. Great lunch at taverna and then lovely drive though the villages.

Perfect day of culture, craft and cuisine! - We had a fantastic day thanks to our guide Michael who ensured the smooth running of the day and was attentive to our every comfort, with attention to the smallest detail. He was a constant source of interesting information. Knossos is a must if you are visiting Crete. Impressive ancient ruins in a beautiful setting. We were aware of the €15 entry on top of the tour price. Michael organised for us to skip the long queue. Pottery experience was fun. I would have liked more time with this, but the busy itinerary didn’t allow. We bought some beautiful pieces of pottery. Lunch in a picturesque mountain village under the shade of a mulberry tree was sublime. Authentic Cretan cuisine accompanied by ice-cold wine and water was delicious! Olive factory was informative with opportunity for tasting and shopping. I must mention that our guide went above and beyond to rectify a mistake when another guest mistakenly took my shopping. He retrieved the package and personally delivered it to our accommodation. Definitely 5 stars for Michael and the Tour!
