Good tour of sites, extremely poor hotel accommodations - I hate to give this tour such a poor rating because I enjoyed the sites but the hotel sealed its fate. I was told by the organizer that I had a booking at the Hotel Seven Hills Tower, based on my research I was pleased with this choice. Needless to say I was surprised and quite disappointed that I was taken to the Hotel Siris 18 upon my arrival. These hotels are absolutely not comparable. I was given no advance notice of a hotel change so that I could do research on it and was given conflicting stories as to why there was a change. Although the organizer said he would try to find other accommodations I just accepted the “upgraded” room they offered as my trust had been breached and I was exhausted after having endured a nearly 8 hour journey to get there plus there was a tour planned for that evening that we needed to get to. I got minimal sleep because there was live music blaring from outside of my room for most of the night. The “delicious breakfast at the hotel” described in the Viator advertisement was anything but that. I am very sorry to disparage the Hotel Siris 18 as it is not their fault that this was the hotel the organizer selected for me. I will call this as I see it, a bait and switch. It is clear to me that the organizer was trying maximize profits on my back by cutting corners on the hotel and this really soured my overall experience. I think it is ok for someone to choose this tour if you do one critical thing: GET A CONFIRMATION NUMBER FOR THE HOTEL THAT THEY SAY THEY HAVE RESERVED FOR YOU AND CALL THE HOTEL TO VERIFY THE INFORMATION. I am confident I would have given this tour a rating of at least 4 stars if I had done that.
