Agra - Ranthambore - Jaipur - I'll start off with saying if you are considering visiting India and would like the convenience of experts showing you around the local attractions, I would 100% recommend booking a trip with Pacific Classic Tours India. My mother and I are visiting India for 12 days, we booked this trip initially for the convenience of the transport between Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur which was our plan anyway, but it really made our holiday. On our first day were picked up by our lovely taxi driver Vipin who was with us for the entire tour, and RT who was our tour guide for Agra. We started off with a morning trip to the Taj Mahal, RT knew what to do and where to go, so the whole trip was seamless. He was very knowledgable about the history of the Taj and the Mogul family, it was really interesting to learn more about how the Taj came to be. He was more than happy to take many lovely photos of us on our phones, and had a photographer contact who took photos and didn’t try to swindle us. After the Taj, we went to a place where they craft the marble/jewels used in the making of the Taj Mahal, they showed us the process by the descendants of those that did the original work on the Taj, they had a shop where you could buy goods if you wish. We then visited the Agra fort, which was another beautiful sight. RT showed us around and stopped to explain the history, taking photos of us and not rushing us along at all. That concluded our time in Delhi, in the afternoon we travelled with Vipin to Ranthambore National park. Vipin very kindly pointed out landmarks and told us about Indian culture on the way, which made the long drive much more interesting. He stopped for food at a decent restaurant and gave us plenty of time to eat and freshen up. He even arranged for someone to meet us and exchange our currency into smaller notes. We started our day in Ranthambore with an early morning safari (take a coat, it's cold!), we travelled on a canter and the safari was around 3 hours long. We were lucky enough to see a tiger lazing in the sun, along with other wildlife like deer, boar, monkeys, owls and a jackal. It was an amazing safari and we could tell the guides worked hard to find a wild tiger for us, but I did have a negative experience with one of the safari guides. I want to be clear that the safari guides work for the Forest department and not for Pacific Classic Tours India. When showing me where a tiger was laying, the man kept putting his hands on my back and waist to "manoeuvre" me into position. I did request he stop, but he either didn't understand or did not listen. It was inappropriate and made me very uncomfortable, so please be wary of this as a female if you undertake a safari tour. Pacific Classic Tours India have taken my complaint seriously and forwarded onto the Forest Department. After Ranthambore, we travelled with Vipin to Jaipur, which is a beautiful pink city. We met up with our tour guide Rajesh who took us to see many beautiful sights, the Amber fort, the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, a view of the water palace and Gaitor Ki Chhatriyan. We had a fantastic day, Rajesh was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide who took his time telling us the history of these beautiful places, taking photos of us and being very attentive to our needs. He even reccomended medicine for my mother's cough and stopped at a pharmacy so we could pick some up. We stopped for lunch at a delicious restaurant where we tried thali, and at jewellery and tailoring outlets where they showed us around their factories and demonstrated their processes. We were then given the opportunity to buy their merchandise if we wanted to, but we were not obliged to. Vipin offered to run us to the airport on our last day, he even stopped at one last gate to take some photos and make the most of our memorable trip, he really was very kind and thoughtful. The safari guide was one negative to an otherwise overwhelmingly positive experience, all of the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful time in India, they were so knowledgeable and you can tell they really enjoy their work. I can't thank them enough and would use their services again should I return to India. A would like to add a separate note about the Elephant ride trade in India and across Asia, particularly in Jaipur. Please take a look at Wildlife SOS website or even better organise a visit to their centre whilst in Agra (it's about an hour outside), and educate yourself on the barbaric process undertaken to "tame elephants, and the cruelty they’re subjected to in order to perform for our entertainment. Please think twice before taking an elephant ride or any other activity where you engage with the elephant, it's not natural and it only does the creature harm and maintains the industry, thank you. +

Great Experience! - Well worth it!! Firstly, car for transportation was very clean and our driver, DK Sharma, was AMAZING. Endless snacks and water was provided and DK knew our schedule better than we did. Taj Mahal was beautiful, of course, despite some haze. Mahesh Kumar was very knowledgeable! Secondly, the tiger safari was amazing. I’m glad they provided 2 opportunities to see the tigers; once in the morning and later in the afternoon. We ended up being fortunate enough to see a tiger and spend some time observing it. One thing I will note is that they make you check out of the hotel before the afternoon safari, with a couple hours to spare and you have nowhere to go or nothing to do. I took a nap on a table. Thirdly, the tour of Jaipur was a blast all because of our tour guide, Ashok Sharma. He was extremely knowledgeable and told us a lot about the history of Jaipur. He was also a lot of fun and had a great sense of humor. He taught us some local culture and arranged for us to feed monkeys!

Breathtaking - Excellent tour of Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur. Our driver DK Sharma was very patient and diligent to get us from A to B and then to C with our near two year old boy who has moods that change like the weather 😅😂 the guides were great and very knowledgeable. We really loved the Tigress Hotel which was breath taking and although we didn’t see any tigers on the tour, we left feeling satisfied and fulfilled with some excellent 5-star accomodation, sights, sounds and foods.

Mid March golden triangle journey. - The tour started off smoothless (and it continued like that for the entire trip) with an alignment the night before to make sure everything was in order and in the morning we were picked up at our specified location by our wonderful driver, Mr K. K. who accompanied us during the entire tour. Much thanks to him and his local knowledge he could answer questions and point out small details along the way. Even though his English lacked a bit when describing certain detals I'd say it only added authencity. The entire experience was enhanced by his happy mood! Overall: Everything went very smooth with "company people" greeting us at every location to go through the planned schedule and suit to any of our needs. All spoke very good English. The driving is like Indian driving is most (talkint as a swede were space on the road is almost never an issue) but we always felt safe in the car which had bottled water, WiFi and AC. The guides in Jaipur and Agra were both very professionall and adjusted to our impulse requests. A bit to keen on taking pictures of us posing in front of different monuments, but nothing that harmed the experience and now we have an extensive collection of us posing in front of monuments. They also handled all the tickets and everything so that we could chill in the shade and just enjoy the experience. A very appreciated thing was that we were told in before hand on who it was appropriate to tip of the non-"company people" as well as how much and when. Jaipur: In Jaipur we first picked up our local guide and then arrived at Amber Fort where an elephant carried us up the hill. After riding them it's my opinion that you should skip it since the animals seemed to suffer (even though the government only allow 5 journeys per elephant per day) but it didn't add much to the experience except having to fend off some more hoggers trying to sell you overpriced trash or photographs. Between monument visits we stopped at a carpet cooperative which sells hand-made block prints and carpets made in villages on the country side. The first part of this visit was great since we got to see the entire process of how they do it. Then it turned in to a sales pitch - which we had requested not to happen. But the first part was very interesting so we just let it slide and after saying thanks but no thanks a few times we left to the observatory which was great! After the observatory we were put through another info+sales pitch but this time for jewellery. This one was alot smoother to just look and ask about things than at the carpet place. We were picked up and left of at all our hotels very smoothly. Arriving in Ranthambhore at the hotel arranged by PCTI (Ranthambhore Regency) we were pleased with the facilities, rooms and quality. Here the safaris were great, mostly the first one (afternoon) where we went on a very beautiful route with a lot of animals just next to the jeep (including a tiger about 4-5m away). I highly recommend doing the two safaris since the different "zones" you go to all have different qualities. In Agra the guided tours were amazing, perhaps also due to the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort being very impressive monuments. Here we also were offered to visit places where they make mosaic and something else but we chose to skip that after the Jaipur-sales pitches (no problem at all). The man meeting us at the hotel in Agra to go through the schedule for the following day did seem to only adress, talk and respond to me (male) while my girlfriend (female) didn't even receive a hand shake or a good bye which sort of left a weird feeling. Throughout the entire journey we really appreciated the car rides since you get to see many different environments and small villages where Mr K. K. is a very good guide to everything you see! The bresks along the way are all in places with clean toilets (Indian standard), just be ready to tip the person handing you napkins so always keep some 5s and 10s in your pocket. Overall great experience! Regarding the sales-pitches: we were not at all interested in buying a bit more exclusive souverniers (like hand-tied silk carpets) even though they seemed very nice for a not that hefty price. Not a big part of the tour so still an excellent experience!
