Taj Mahal - Your driver will arrive early in the morning to pick you up from either your hotel or another location of your choice in Agra. From there, you’ll begin your excursion to experience the Taj Mahal, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983. Commissioned by Shah Jahan in remembrance of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who sadly died in 1631 while giving birth to their 14th child.
Agra Fort - Continue your exploration towards the next UNESCO-listed destination, Agra Fort, which was initiated by Emperor Akbar in 1565 along the banks of the Yamuna River. Shah Jahan, Akbar’s grandson, contributed enhancements, notably incorporating white marble, his favored construction material. Agra with Saif: exceptional!!! - Hearing the incredible history of the Taj made it all the more beautiful! Saif knew so much about the history of Agra and India in general that he was able to answer all of the question my curious family had. It was a lovely experience!
