Commissioned by Nur Jahan, the wife of Emperor Jahangir, it is the tomb of her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg, also called Itmad-ud-Daula. Built between 1622 and 1628, this stunning monument is renowned for its intricate marble lattice screens and detailed inlay work, which influenced the later construction of the Taj Mahal. The tomb exemplifies Mughal architecture, blending Persian and Indian styles, and is surrounded by beautiful gardens that enhance its allure.
