Fantastic Tour! - Incredible tour and guide. We were on the fence about booking ahead of time and are so glad we did. An amazing tour that took us all around Machu Picchu and helped us navigate getting there. Highly recommend!

Outstanding and informative Guide - Exceptional guide. Friendly and helped us understand that we were seeing throughout the tour. He also carried photo cards helping explain things as we walked through the ruins. Most important, one member had back problems from and accident a few weeks before and he made it is job the lend him his shoulder and arms to get him up and down some difficult steps and walkways. He was always supportive and patient. He made our trip a success for everyone.

Simply perfect experience! - We have no words to describe our satisfaction with this agency! Simply everything perfect, from the contracting of the service to the final details of the Machu Picchu guided tours (we did 02 circuits). Our guide Nancy made all the difference, his sympathy, knowledge and good humos were key points in the success of this tour! The cultural and historical immersion is indescribable!

The best guide you could ask for! - Machu Picchu - World Heritage. Certainly the place in Peru that must be. You can tell quickly, there's everybody. Trekking Tourists who hike for months through the Andes and come here via the Inca Trail, or visitors who only have a week and don't (want to) see anything of Peru except Cusco and Machu Picchu. In order to understand between all these people the magic of Machu Picchu, the importance for the Incas, but also for their descendants today, it is important to have a good guide. We were lucky enough to find him at Edu Tours. Booked months in advance he stood in Aguas Calientes at the train station and waited patiently for us - Wilber. Our lucky handle to save the day in Machu Picchu and make it an unforgettable experience! The train from Ollantaytambo was a good 90 minutes late, the tickets were already running. The frustration was already there. No problem for Wilber, calm and calm he guided us through all the souvenir stands towards the bus stop. Buying bus tickets and water, goes in a hurry if necessary and the journey starts. Wilber radiates admirable calm, which rubs off. In the hours that follow, we dive into the world of the Incas, their faith, religion, craftsmanship, science skills. Wilber grabs us with his knowledge and gift for telling the story and making it lively. We are thrilled! So it goes tirelessly up stairs, down stairs through the ruins of Machu Picchu, a sublime place, thanks to Wilber. At some point the moment came to get back on the road. One thing was immediately clear: The line at the bus stop is at least twice as long as it would take to get our train back to Aguas Calientes. We had to wait a few minutes until he showed up again with our train tickets. Wilber managed to get us on the next bus. Here our paths have parted, he has not pushed himself. A great guide, a great person, thank you Wilber!

Good experience but some room to improve. - Overall the tour was good and the guide gave us very nice context. He spoke clearly and was relaxed and friendly. We didn't feel rushed but also we would have enjoyed a slower pace (which we did on our own the next day). Overall it took ~2.5 hours. But I wish it could have lasted a little longer. Price for a private tour seemed very reasonable. Communication over email was good, but some things I wish were more clear that can hopefully help future visitors: - I wish the guide had clarified more what to expect in Aguas Calientes. This would have been super helpful and remove a lot of anxiety about the visit. Lots of horror stories/reviews online. I told him I was pretty worried about buying the bus tickets on the day (I imagined hour+ long lines) and all he said was not to worry you can get them the same day. In reality, there was 0 line at the consettur ticket office and it was the easiest step of visiting machu picchu. I wish it was explained to me that bus ticket lines aren't bad. - I wish the guide had clarified that I don't need to line up hours in advance in the bus queue, and that there are separate lines by the hour and move each hour. we had figured this out quite quickly upon arrival, and it was a huge weight off my shoulders but I wish I was told this simple fact in advance so we'd worry less. - In the email we had agreed to meet in the square at 11:45am (our timed entry was 1pm). Upon arrival in aguas the guide emails me and said to meet his associate in the main square. but also that his associate didn't speak any english! this was a very surprising because I booked specifically so that we would have the benefit of the english speaking guide helping us navigating the chaos. In practice, there is not a lot of chaos to navigate, and its pretty easy to figure out assuming you have time to arrive and observe what's happening. We queued up at around 11:15am for the bus. When the meeting time approached, i left my wife waiting in the bus line while i went to the square to find the associate. I walked around at the agreed time for 5 minutes in the pouring rain until I heard my name. all the associate did was walk me back to the bus line. glad my wife was waiting there the whole time because we would have been way further back in line if we had just arrived. This step felt very unnecessary and awkward. a clear summary of what to expect over email would have been so much better. - The guide was waiting for us at the top of the mountain upon exiting our bus and he guided us all through the ticket scan line till the residential area of the city, where he ended the tour and excused himself while we could explore more. But in practice, because backward travel is not allowed, you don't get to explore much more and you just have to exit shortly after. I am glad we had a second visit the next day because we walked more slowly from the start and soaked in every part. but we appreciated all the context the guide had provided the previous day.
