Excellent Makgeolli and Soju tasting class by Joe in Seoul Korea - An excellent experience (probably the best thing I have done in Seoul being a first timer in Korea). Joes is a great teacher, and he knows his Makgeolli and Soju. He speaks perfect English. My wife and friends learned so much about Makgeolli and Soju and can now tell the difference between good and not-so-good Makgeolli and Soju. My friend and I enjoyed the class so much that we went back the second day for his Makgeolli-making class that was another memorable experience! Highly recommended for anyone who wishes to learn more how to appreciate Makgeolli and Soju.

Fun, delicious, informative and entertaining. - We really enjoyed learning more about soju and makgeoli. It was interesting and a lot of fun. It was great to taste the different varieties and learn more about the process of making these drinks along with some historical and cultural information. I wish we had time to try making some makgeoli. Thanks Joe.

Fun time for adults that like strong spirits - I took my 20-year-old daughter to Joe’s establishment, Baekusaeng Makgeolli. Joe was so informative about the history and process of making Makgeolli and Soju. Until then, we had no idea Soju came in varieties other than the classic green bottle, which we learned is considered diluted Soju. Nor had I ever heard of or tasted Makgeolli. Joe was so patient with our questions and graciously refilled the snack bowls. I highly recommend taking this tour.

Soju and Makgeolli tasting - This was a fantastic experience. Joe gave us a complete history of Soju and Makgeolli. The tastings were diverse and there is something for everyone. A great couple of hours. Highly recommended

Fun, informative, and delicious. - This was so fun! Joe is a great host and very knowledgeable about his craft. His Makgeolli was delicious and we learned a lot about how it's made and the history of the drink. He also taught us a lot about soju and the many varieties it's available in. He did not hold back on the drinks and gave us more than we knew what to do with. He also provided a ton of snacks and food for us to munch on while he was sharing his expertise. 10/10 would do it again and recommend to anyone.

An Amazing Teacher & Great Learning Experience - My boyfriend and I attended Joe's class on Traditional Soju and Makgeolli Tasting and it was absolutely amazing! We were very impressed with his knowledge and loved his hospitality. We had great conversations and really enjoyed the flavors he introduced us to. We would highly recommend this class for anyone traveling to Seoul and are excited to try making makgeolli! The experience was so comfortable it felt like being at someone's house. I also didn't even know that I was such a fan of makgeolli until after this class. Thank you for everything, Joe! You are an amazing teacher. Fun vibes & great selection - Loved this class hosted by Joe - learned a ton, laughed and enjoyed some great soju and makgeolli. This was our last stop on our trip to Seoul and it was perfect. Thanks again, Joe!
