Hike Downhill - Totally enjoyed the experience hiking down hill. Require good stamina and shoes. We did some wrong turns and had to detour quite a bit. The tram doesn't stop at the other stations only at the top. The tram up was really easy and fast.

Fast lane - Definitelfy recommend purchasing the Fast Lane tickets. Boarded first at both ends with ease. The visit to the top was a bit cloudy but enjoyable.

Quick rides fast queue - The train was super fast and queues are fast moving. It only took about 10 minutes for the train ride which was really quick compared to the old train

The best Activity in Georgetown - We arrived at about 8:00 am and we got our tickets right away and went up the tram. The only problem in the morning is the morning mist that covers the skyline. But the views were great. We hiked a few km to the tea house for a drink. The drink receipt gave y it s a free golf cart back to the tram

Penang Hill at Sunrise - Cool air, windy and refreshing! Took the sunrise tickets up. Paid just RM5 for a 2 way ticket. Ticket must be purchased before 7 am and used once by 9 am. We watched the sunrise and enjoyed the cool breeze.

Buy fast track!! - I recommend buying fast track tickets. Otherwise we would have been standing long in ticket queue and even longer in the queue into the cart. It costs a little more but saves you too much time. Nice upstairs, lots to see.

A perfect blend of nature, tranquility, and adventure. - This scenic trail offers stunning views of the lush rainforest and vibrant flora, making it an ideal escape from the city. The walk is moderate in difficulty, with well-maintained paths and plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Whether you’re an experienced hiker or a casual wanderer, the peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking panoramas make it a rewarding experience.

Great views on Penang - I didn’t purchase a ticket online. Although it was Deepavali the lines were not busy. I bought express line tickets (advisable!!) so in no time we were in the funicular train. We had beautiful views on Penang. Strolled around for 2 hours and went back down again. It was worth the visit. Next time we will walk down.

Suited more for nature lovers - This review is solely based on my experience and it may vary from other traveller... Came in 2019 during my cruise stopover in penang and had a bad experience with the neverending queue and almost miss my cruise back home. Luckily i decide to upgrade my train ticket for the trip down and manage to get back to my cruise on time.. Funicular Train : 3/5 I made a return in october 2024. The neverending queue still seems to be an issue..This time around i bought "Express" return trip ticket as i have 4 elderly parents with me. Its definitely costly BUT we manage to skip the super long queue and we reach up in 10-15 mins instead of hours... the only downside is you are still sharing the spaces with normal tickets holder even though you are paying way more and on both way trip we got normal tix holder requesting seats from my elderly parent claiming they are with children..and will give bad looks when decline by my elderly parents who have mobility issue...so perhaps this could be an area for improvement.. Astaka Foodcourt 3/5 Came here after seeing videos of vendor selling shaves ice with fruits on social media..all i can say is from my honest opinion is it is over hype and could be quite costly.. Buggy Ride 3/5 Buggy ride cost RM30 for maximum 5 pax which will bring you sightseeing to a stretch of roads all the way to Kopi Hutan and return back to starting point. A trip that will take around 20mins to and fro if you dont stop at Kopi Hutan. If you decide to stop and have a coffee at Kopi Hutan do be reminded that there will be an additional surcharge of RM15 for the trip back... nothing much to see to be honest.. Kopi Hutan 3/5 Nothing special here except having a moka pot coffee in a middle of the jungle...will take a while to have buggy back to starting point as most buggy riders dont drop here..but there will be a man helping you to secure a tram back to the starting point but will take some time.. All in all i decided not to visit the habitat after Kopi Hutan as i think it did not suit my parents with mobility issues..we went down after spending around 1-2 hr at the top..would suit more to nature lovers in my opinion.. Be careful of the monkey who could get aggresive if you have food or drinks with you..

Bad & rude service - Very bad experience taking the train up. Bad & rude train crew, not considerate for family travelling with young kids. Not child or toddler friendly especially those travelling with stroller.
