Thrilling Jetski Adventure and Relaxing Day at Daydream Island - I had an incredible time and want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Ocean Dynamics team for their outstanding effort in making this trip truly memorable. On December 24th, I joined their Jetski tour from Airlie Beach to Daydream Island, and it was an unforgettable experience filled with fun and excitement.
The tour lasted about two hours in total on the Jetski—one hour to get to Daydream Island and one hour to return. The rest of the time, we enjoyed the island, taking full advantage of the resort's facilities. These included non-motorized water sports and a beautiful swimming pool. To top it off, they also provided $25 per person to spend at the island's restaurant, which added a wonderful touch to the day.

Daydream Island and Whitehaven Beach Private Charter Ocean Dynamics - We recently went on the Ocean Dynamics private charter boat to daydream island. Plenty of food and beverages available. We took our 10 week old baby along and they were very accommodating for her. Can't believe how easy it was to take our baby along with us on what we thought would be a mission.
The boat trip to Whitehaven beach was spectacular. Since it was a private charter we had the entire beach to ourselves, basically. Untrodden sand on the beach and spectacular views from the lookout.
We even had the opportunity to go snorkeling which was like nothing I have experienced before. I am not a great swimmer but they gave me a life jacket and took exceptional care for me to ensure I could experience the amazing coral and sea life.
The boat crew were exceptional and friendly. Catering for all our needs, taking finished plates from our hands and kitting us up with the right snorkeling gear to ensure a smooth experience. They taught us a neat little trick to keep the fog out of the goggles and the instructor was explaining everything as we went as a group.
Definitely one of the best holidays I've been on in Australia and I've lived here all my life. I've also travelled the world; however, this is a comparable experience so close to home.

Jet skis are awesome - Our tour guide Diego was awesome, we had the best time. The jet skis are quite powerful and a lot of fun, the tour went around a lot of islands and was a great experience for us. Thank you

Awesome day out on the jet skis - Was an awesome day out! Our tour guide was so helpful and knowledgeable. They were super accommodating to our needs and the views were absolutely amazing

The Best day - Wonderful day with our guide Diego.

Ok experience but really consider other tours instead - Great fun on the jet skis , DayDream island was ok , only 1 place a visitor can eat there which makes it hard because the other places want a room number so bring snacks to tie you over, pictures were taken of people on the jet skis by tour guide….BUT YOU NEVER GET THEM… I’ve asked the tour operator so many times & still nothing so that part is really disappointing because i was so looking forward to the pictures

Look around and contact operators directly for exact details - We booked via Viator for $395 for the 1.5-2 hour jet-ski 3-4 hour daydream island experience.
After looking at the availability of all the jet skis this one seemed a great deal $395 for two people….we called viator prior to confirm it was for your own jet skis 1.5-2 hours on them jn total then 3-4 hours on daydream island, leaving the meeting point at 9 am and was told it was all correct so we booked.
Usually on our adventures we get a confirmation of time and meeting place the day/night prior but nothing, eating brekky and receive a call asking where we were was told we were actually meant to be there at 8 am but he was fine to wait til 9 (again this was advertised on viator now been changed to 8:30 am but obviously still not 8am ).
The guide was really lovely and done the usual safety talk then mentioned changing drivers .
We asked what he meant only to be told the $395 was for one ski we would have to pay for another one so we paid for the extra .
Not happy but day already planned with our day adventure then late arvo and evening doing other activities.
We hop on the jet-skis and off we go , a quick half hour and we were there , then left for 7 hours, there are a few free activities on daydream island but definitely not enough to kill 7 hours and anything remotely exciting costs a whole lot more $$$$$.
They do give you a $25 voucher per jet skis for the restaurant but it was very average nothing special.
We also couldn’t relax and have a few drinks as we would not have been able to ride the jet skis back .
Another 28 mins to return to Airlie beach, over all being on ski just under an hour total for both ways definitely not the 1.5-2 hours advertised .
Being sooooo very late back we missed our afternoon activities and can’t rebook as we are only here a short stay.
The guide was amazing though and just done his job however the incorrect information on Viator and the lack of consideration the company has for its customers is incredibly poor .
It has been the most expensive day adventure in our last few trips here by a mile , we could have booked the same experience with another company for a 1/4 and got lunch as well as an extra 1 1/2 on the jet skis.
So please look around and call the companies directly as it seems Viator and the companies don’t communicate well or have matching schedules.
