- Guests should be aware that the Outer Reef Snorkel Adventure is designed for snorkelling. For travellers who cannot swim, the skipper reserves the right to, and may refuse snorkelling in the open water due to safety reasons. We do have an alternative tour, Thundercat, experience Whitsunday Island and Whitehaven Beach along with 2 snorkels near to Hook Island which is suitable for those less confident in the water.
- In the event of inclement weather where it is deemed unsafe to travel to the outer reef, rest assured that we’ll still deliver an exceptional experience by taking you to the inner reef within the picturesque Whitsunday Islands.

A fantastic day at the reef - An absolutely amazing day! We went to two different spots to snorkel along the reef and had plenty of time to experience the it. Reece, Shannon, Payton, Nat and Finn were a phenomenal crew, super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend the outer reef tour!

Exceptional Red Cat Outer Reef tour - Absolutely excellent adventure to the outer reef. Reece and his crew couldn’t do enough for their guests, always going out of their way to ensure all their guests had a great time. Lunch was cold meat and salads which was great.
As an added bonus, Reece would stop our trip to watch whales surfacing in sight of our boat - whale watching as an added bonus!!
Having done the reefs around the Whitsunday Islands, a trip to the outer reefs was exceptional and highly recommended. The water is clearer and the reefs were all close together.
This day trip was well worth the cost - very highly r3commended.

Not to be missed - 11/10 day out - We had the best day out on the reef with Reece, Nat, Nick and Tate. We did two long stints snorkelling and it was incredible. The crew were on hand to give us lifts back to the boat if needed or back up to the reef when the tide kept pulling us away. The food was actually really good and catered to lots of dietary requirements. Would highly recommend Red Cat, the price point was the best we saw in Airlie Beach and the trip was one of a lifetime. The swell on the way out to the reef and back can get pretty intense so would recommend anti sea sickness tablets as a preventative measure even if you don't get sea sick!

Great day on the outer reef! - We had a fantastic day with Red Cat out on the outer reef. After a 2ish hour ride (with a stop on Hayman Island to pick up more guests) out to the reef we snorkeled at two different spots and saw tons of incredible coral and fish. The crew was really knowledgeable and fun (shout outs to Tony, Shannon, Nat, and Tate). We got lucky and saw lots of whales migrating through the Whitsundays and we stopped to see them on the way out and the way back. There was a bar on board which opened up after we snorkeled which was a great way to end the day. Would highly recommend!

Amazing skipper, crew, views and wildlife for a great day out. - Fantastic day our snorkelling. It was too rough to snorkel at the reef by Captain Reece was on the case and found us 4 different bays to go to that we all different and had amazing fish and reefs to look at. The whole crew helped us to see whales twice and manta rays twice,m. They were all incredibly patient helping both my young at heart but slightly aging mother and my very hyperactive chatty 9 and 12 year old in and out of the boats and Ali even put up with Freddie “helping” her paddle the board back to the boat.
Amazing day out with Reece, Ali, Sam and Ben. We couldn’t recommend more. They were all so much fun and enjoyed laughing at each other and us n a way that absolutely made the day.

Awesome Day Out - We had the pleasure today to travel with Reece, Shannon & Anthony on the outer reef snorkelling tour.
The snorkelling was exceptional, weather wasn’t the best but these guys made it such an awesome and memorable day.
Their interaction with everybody was amazing, it was great to see people so passionate about the environment they work in and share it with us.
They made it an experience that we’ll never forget!

Just go and enjoy - Lovely experience in a otherwise cold day. Was met by a great crew with all good vibes ready to do anything for the group.

One of the best days of my life ❤️ - One of the most wonderful experiences of my life. The snorkelling was magical. It’s like going to a different planet.!!!! The crew were absolutely incredible entertaining, knowledgeable kind and made us feel safe. Shout out to Reece, PK Marky Mark and Reef master Nat. What ann absolutley incredible team. I will be forever grateful to you all for making this experience sooo special. Thank you for acknowledging our traditional owners and for reminding us about the importance of protecting our environment for our children. Thank you for the work you do to support that. Enjoyable but a little rushed - An enjoyable day. We did go out when it was a bit rough so only one snorkel on the outer reef. Equipment was fine. They looked after those unwell and stopped for us to look at whales and manta Rey’s when we came across them. It would be handy if they offered a pick up/drop off service. Felt rushed at each snorkeling spot.
