One if the best things experiences i have ever had! - This workshop was one of the most special and unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had! It gave me a whole new appreciation for handmade craftsmanship—I never realized just how much time, effort, and skill go into creating textiles until I tried it myself!🥲 The owner was warm and welcoming, and the trainers were incredibly talented and kind, making the whole experience feel like being part of a family. We shared breakfast and lunch together, all homemade and absolutely delicious, which added a personal touch to the day. Everything about the workshop was thoughtfully organized, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hands-on, immersive experience in Moroccan craftsmanship. I also arranged a private driver through them, which was much easier than finding a taxi in the village. If you’re looking for something unique and truly authentic, this is an experience you won’t want to miss!!

Book the full day experience! - The full-day experience was the highlight of 2025 thus far. Hamid was a spectacular host, and all the women I met and worked with throughout the day were not only experts in their craft, but excited to share their culture with visitors -- even beyond textiles. I cannot recommend the full-day experience enough. If you already know a bit about wool cultivation, weaving, or dyeing, I suggest skipping the half-day where you will revisit things you already know, and instead opt for the full-day, where you will glean more insight into the importance of ensuring the sustainability of Amazigh heritage.

Great day! - I spent a magical day at Atelier Talasin where I discovered henna wool dyeing and Berber weaving. This place aims to enhance the weaving industry in Morocco by working with local wool (mostly imported), naturally dyeing them with henna and other local plants and working with weavers who wash, spin wool and weave sumptuous carpets. This place is worth a visit if only to interact with Shane and his team. But if you have time I recommend spending a day there to learn vegetable dyeing and weaving. It is even possible to visit the weavers and discover their work. A huge thank you to Shane, Hamid, Myriam, Fatima and the other Talasin members for a wonderful day. Can't wait to relaunch a weave with my dyed wool skeins☺️
