Great day! - I spent a magical day at Atelier Talasin where I discovered henna wool dyeing and Berber weaving. This place aims to enhance the weaving industry in Morocco by working with local wool (mostly imported), naturally dyeing them with henna and other local plants and working with weavers who wash, spin wool and weave sumptuous carpets. This place is worth a visit if only to interact with Shane and his team. But if you have time I recommend spending a day there to learn vegetable dyeing and weaving. It is even possible to visit the weavers and discover their work. A huge thank you to Shane, Hamid, Myriam, Fatima and the other Talasin members for a wonderful day. Can't wait to relaunch a weave with my dyed wool skeins☺️
