A must do for cruisers! Fantastic tour & price. - What an amazing tour. We were given ample time at each stop to explore and enjoy. Our tour guide and driver were A+ too. Highly recommend this tour. We were given options too at the end of the tour to go back to cruise ship, town ( 20 min. walk to ship), or at the Botanical Gardens. I had emailed the tour company off hours to make sure we’d be back at the pier in time for our ship and within 30 minutes received a reply from the operator. Again, highly recommend especially for cruisers. You’ll have a better experience and save lots of money not booking this one with the cruise line. The Forrest Lagoon was fantastic too! You won’t get that experience through the cruise’s tour.

Magic in the Iceland rain - This tour exceeded our expectations. Even though the weather was challenging with sleety rain and wind we would not have missed the experience. The private tour of the turf house palace was very good, Anna the guide very informative and interesting. The Godafoss waterfall well worth the effort in the rain to see. Finishing off at Forrest Lagoon baths was perfect. Sitting in the hot water with cold rain on our heads, looking through the steam to the fyord was just magical. Peter our driver and guide made the day perfect for us. Highly recommend booking through this company.

: A Perfect Day in Akureyri: Laufás, Godafoss, and Forest Lagoon - Our day in Akureyri was nothing short of perfect, starting with a visit to the Laufás Heritage Museum. This charming museum offers a deep dive into Icelandic history, with its traditional turf houses and fascinating exhibits. Walking through the well-preserved rooms gave us a real sense of life in past centuries, and the peaceful setting added to the experience. Next, we visited the stunning Godafoss waterfall, one of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders. The powerful cascade of water was breathtaking, and we were mesmerized by its beauty. The viewpoints around the waterfall provided fantastic opportunities to take in the scenery from different angles, making it a photographer’s dream. Our final stop was the Forest Lagoon geothermal bath, which was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploration. Nestled in a tranquil forest setting, the lagoon’s warm, mineral-rich waters were incredibly soothing. We enjoyed the serene atmosphere and stunning views, which made for a truly relaxing experience. Towels were provided, and everything was well-organized, allowing us to simply relax and soak in the natural beauty. This day was the highlight of our trip to Iceland, combining cultural insights, stunning landscapes, and ultimate relaxation. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend these experiences to anyone visiting Akureyri!

Beautiful falls! - The drive to get the waterfall gives wonderful views of the port! We even went through a tunnel. It’s quite a long ride but the beauty is worth it! The baths are wide open and don’t feel too crowded. There are two swim up bars as well! We stayed about an hour, it was plenty of time.

Our favorite shore excursion! - Our ship had a schedule change, and Saga Travel notified us that they adjusted our departure time accordingly. That says a lot about this company. Dísa, our guide made our day fun! She even gave us a rainbow over Godafoss Falls! The Forest Lagoon is a must. We highly recommend this shore excursion from Akureyri.

Waterfalls, Museum and Spa - Lovely tour from the port. Our tour guide Tisa a very interesting and gave in-depth talk about Akureyri during our travel to and from the waterfall. There was a added museum stop which was very nice also. The Forest Lagoon Geothermal Bath was a lovely way to end the day. If you would like to spend more time at the Lagoon you can take the Forest Lagoon free shuttle back to the port. They run every 1/2 hour.
