• Siglufjordur - A fishing town isolated by mountains until the first tunnels there were built. Now tourism is big in the town since transport has gotten a lot easier.
• The Herring Era Museum - The Herring era museum is an award winning museum which gives us a good feeling about how life was in the herring era which was the big player in getting Icelanders out of the turf houses.

Our journey will whisk us through striking landscapes and picturesque views. We will find Siglufjörður at the end of a route through three tunnels, though our adventure will continue beyond, guiding us through a fourth tunnel to a delightful vantage point. Brief intermissions will be taken in the villages of Hjalteyri, a distinctive town benefitted from the herring period. Our route will also take us through Dalvík and Ólafsfjörður, two charming fishing towns. We will allot time to discover the wonders of Siglufjörður.
