Great tour! - This was a great tour! The inside space worked well for kids in the group who got cold. We spent over an hour enjoying a whale in the fjord. The guide was super knowledgeable and I appreciated getting access to the pictures he took.

Great viewing - A great experience. The crew were knowledgable and we spent a whole hour close to a young humpback but keeping a fair distance so as not to disturb him. Well worth the trip.

A fabulous experience - A wonderful experience, and being me, found it quite emotional seeing this gentle giant in it’s natural habitat. This was actually our second trip, as we came much the same time last year and unfortunately didn’t see any whales. We were offered a voucher to compensate, for another trip, valid I think for a couple of years, Unfortunately it’s not always given that you will see the whales, as you can’t predict nature, but credit to the company for offering a second trip, can’t fault them one bit. The guides are very knowledgeable and passionate about their jobs, and this enthusiasm is passed onto all on board! All in all a fabulous experience. Tak tak og bless bless!

Whale watching from Akureyri - Very easy to book and clear instructions regarding the trip. Quick and efficient check in and boarding. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Clean and comfortable boat. Plenty of room on deck to watch. Able to buy snacks and drinks on board. Good and informative announcements. Great that we saw a hump back whale and were able to watch it for a good length of time.

Whale watching Sun 1 March. - Brilliant experience. Our guides were so helpful and respectful to the natural habitat of the whales. The lady gave a full running commentary. Telling us about the feeding habits of the whales and how to spot them. We saw a large & small whale. What a wonderful day out. Worth every penny, an experience of a lifetime. Thankyou to everyone involved on the day.

Familu whale watching - We had a really good whale watching experience. Communication beforehand was excellent — we received update emails in advance, which was reassuring, especially travelling in winter. The crew helped everyone board safely and made sure we were comfortable. As it was winter, there was both indoor and outdoor seating available, which was ideal. Warm overalls were provided to wear outside, which made a big difference in the cold. The café/bar was open for hot drinks and snacks, which was a nice touch while waiting to spot wildlife. The guides shared interesting information about the whales and the local marine life. When we spotted whales, the captain kept a respectful distance so as not to disturb them, but we were still close enough to see them clearly and take photos. The crew also took photos during the trip and emailed them afterwards on request, which was appreciated. Overall, a well-organised, responsible, and enjoyable tour — we had a great time.

Great experience but a little short - Great experience but it’s a little short, would be great if we can see or find the whales a little longer

Whale of a time in Akureyri - Even on a fine day, make sure you wear warm clothes! It was a great experience - we saw a young humpback whale and two orcas. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot. Expensive, but good value!
