Up close and personal with whales - Guide was great! She spotted whales from any distance and we followed them. We saw tails, backs and were blessed to see a large breech! What a beautiful sight!! The boat was like a horseback ride and a river raft fire in one. It’s not for someone with limited mobility or back issues, but added to the exhilaration of the experience if you could are up for the adventure. It was almost like we could touch the whales we were so close. Amazing!!! And they took the pictures so we could keep our cameras dry!! So worth it!!

Wonderful Experience! Easy to locate from Cruise Port - Great experience! The team was very informative, kept us entertained with facts about the Fjord, and were very interactive. We got to see several whales and dolphins. We also got to see Humpback Whales playing with Dolphins which they said was really rare! Loved the experience! Very easy walk from the Cruise Port to the Whale Watching dock.

Best way to see whales in Akureyri - David was a fantastic tour guide and had an excellent eye for identifying the whales! We learned so much about the different species we encountered, and had a lot of fun along the way.

"Cool" event - fantastic nature experience - Even if the weather could have been better it was a great experience. We could see minke whales, humpback whales and porpoises, all from a distance. Actually, we didn’t need to take our own photos because a photographer on the neighboring boat took great photos which were then shared with us. Maybe you should do the tour in the morning, if not yet the guests of the cruise ships overpopulate the boats.....We had enough space on board. 100% recommendation.

Iceland with family - We had absolutely terrible weather - sleet and wind. The warm jumpsuits that were offered made it a much more enjoyable trip and allowed us to be outside looking for whales, especially the one that came fairly close to the boat to give us a good look.

Nice ride but few sightings. - Trip was run professionally. Very good narrator to let you know where a whale was sighted and gave a lot of whale info. Unfortunately, only saw a few small parts of a few whales, but they stayed out a long time trying to see the whales. Boat was very crowded on outside decks so people were standing right in front of where we were sitting.

Underwhelming and over priced! - There were over 150 people on the boat. If you were not the first 40 people on the boat you saw very little AND had to stand if you wanted to be on deck. The Captain pointed the boat at 12:00 for every whale sighting so if you were on the right/left of the boat you were out of luck. The people in front stood up to take pictures and once again we could see nothing. The reason they turned the boat was so the tour photographers could get nice pictures -- which they did share, however, I could Google "pictures of whales" if that is all I wanted. They had blankets on board but you were not able to take them out on deck, where it was cold........only available for use in the heated interior cabin. They had a special drink of hot chocolate with rum -- but were out of rum. $99pp was not a good value.
