Very unique and special tour - I hope to do it with my kids some day! - Amazing and unique experience to the Volta region. The naming ceremony was so beautiful and welcoming with many villagers in attendance. I loved the explanation of the ritual and so happy to have an African name now. The boat river cruise after was very nice and peaceful. I’d love to stay at the resort that this was held. Great tour and great tour guides!

A Highlight of Our Trip! - The renaming ceremony was a truly incredible and heartwarming experience— a highlight of our trip to Ghana. The Torgorme Community welcomed us home in a way that was both moving and uplifting. Our guide, Atsu, was not only kind and flexible, but also insightful, answering all of our questions with clarity and warmth. The boat ride at the end was beautiful! We are so grateful we were able to experience this.

Phenomenal Experience - The traditional naming ceremony was a wonderful and unforgettable experience. The members of the village greets us with warm smiles as we danced and celebrated together as a family. It was heart-warming to see the excitement and joy in the eyes of all of the children when we arrived and during our visit. This was an amazing and life changing event.

Once in a lifetime experience! - I kind of knew what to expect but it far exceeded my expectations. From the moment we were picked up at the hotel to all of the learning and teaching moments shared along the ride. Witnessing the children so alive and the ceremony was more than I ever imagined it would be. After the ceremony the lunch and boat ride was lovely. I’m so that I was blessed to get this experience.

Once in a lifetime! - Only my teenage daughter and I participated but the foremost feeling for us was safety. We were picked up at our hotel by Freedom and Jeff who are very knowledgeable about the area so it felt like a tour on our way to the village. Once there, we were warmly greeted with dancing and drumming. Daniel, the village leader, explained the entire process to us before they began. Freedom also served as our interpreter when it was time for us to give a speech or say thanks. The added bonus is that it was on my birthday so everyone exuberantly sang happy birthday! I value the level of customer service provided by Foster, the owner.

A Unique Experience - This ceremony exceeded our expectations and was the highlight of our entire trip to Ghana. They went all out. First we got saged, cleansed then dressed in white garments in preparation for the ceremony. The ceremony consisted of dancing, sipping of wine, drummers along with special words from the chief. The villagers (including the king) came out to support and they were friendly and made us feel safe.
