Worst VIP desert safari experienced!! - Worst experience ever!! It is bad in everything. The whole experience with this tour operator left us disappointed. Firstly the driver Ibrahim picks us Up in a land cruiser but to our surprise the car was already packed with a family having 2 children and 3 adults, we were asked to sit in the back of the car !! So this is where the VIP treatment starts. Within an hours drive we reached to the quad biking camp which was filthy and overcrowded, the driver tried to dupe us with pricey quad bike tour experience. It was almost sunset and here we go for the sand bashing sitting behind uncomfortably with no legroom, the driver informs the front passengers in his language (which we don’t understand)to fasten the seat belts and completely ignoring us. We get our seat belts on and 2 mins into the sandy terrain the driver looks into the rear view mirror and starts yelling at the back “lady you broke the handle and you need to pay for it” at this point we were confused, as everyone in the passenger seat were holding on to the grab handles and I was assuming that the driver was addressing the lady in front of us. Now is the time he informs everyone in the car not to hold the grab handles. We learnt that my wife broke the grab handle from one end, which was impossible with her built and body weight. The driver keeps mumbling and I address the Driver that he hadn’t instructed anyone before the incident. To which he disagrees and start yelling that I need to pay for the broken handle!! My wife addresses that there was no broken pieces in the back and it might be possible that it was broken earlier. He stops the car for sand boarding which we spent arguing back and forth about the broken handle, I was ready to pay for the damages but the way he was shouting and talking ruined our mood and the day. The driver demanded 450 -500 dhs for the broken handle to which I questioned him about the steep price and his response was this is not a Corolla. Know in my mind I am thinking that this might be a trick to dupe people. A few calls to the tour operator - 7stars and explaining the whole situation, they ask me to pay 250 dhs for the broken handle to which I refuse. The driver keep mumbling and takes us to the main camp, upon exiting the car the driver threatens us, gives us time to think and demand us to pay the amount or will take us to the police station. While he says this I get a call from the tour operator informing me that I will not have to pay for the broken handle. I disconnect the call and inform the driver the same to which he gets furious and demands money, after few secs he walks off. We enter the camp with zero expectations, with the evening ruined, we just sat until we could leave. We leave then camp get home and once out of the car the driver again demands money, but this time a mere 40 dhs. I refuse to pay and this is the time he uses abusive language. I just ignored his rants and walked off. To seven stars tours and travels - please train your staff to be humble, calm and friendly in all cases. If the driver Abu Ibrahim had to calmly approach and ask for the correct amount I would have gladly obliged. To people who are about to book through this tour operator- stay away it’s not worth your money.
