• Cairo - Begins at 8:00 am or earlier with a pickup from Cairo International Airport by our expert tour guide, who will greet you with a sign displaying your name. You’ll then be transferred in a private A/C vehicle to Giza City to start your Cairo layover tour.

After the show, you will be transferred back to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.

• Pyramids of Giza - Start your Cairo layover tour by visiting one of Egypt’s top attractions, the Giza Pyramids & Sphinx. You have the option to enter any of the pyramids or ride a camel around the Giza Pyramids, but additional tickets are required and can be purchased on the spot. Spend around 3 hours exploring the Giza Pyramids and surrounding sites. End your tour of the Giza Pyramids with a visit to the Valley Temple, where the body of King Chephren was mummified.

• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only completely preserved portrait of the king is a three-inch high ivory figurine found in a temple ruin of a later period at Abydos in 1903. All other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many buildings of Khufu are lost. Everything known about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents. For example, Khufu is the main character noted in the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.

• Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre. Several were found in a well in the floor of the temple by Mariette in 1860. Others were found during successive excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.

• Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once contained several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also yielded several statues of Menkaure.

• Great Sphinx - Then look at the Sphinx, the legendary guardian that stands by the huge funeral complex with its lion body and the head of King Chephren.

• Gizeh Plateau - The Giza Plateau (Arabic: هضبة الجيزة) is a limestone plateau in Giza, Egypt, the site of the Fourth Dynasty Giza pyramid complex, which includes the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the Great Sphinx, several cemeteries, a workers’ village, and an industrial complex. It forms the northernmost part of the 16,000 ha Pyramid Fields in the Western Desert edge of the Nile Valley that are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Memphis and its Necropolis.

• The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Continue your Cairo layover tour to the Egyptian Museum, where you can see the famous treasures of King Tutankhamen. There is also the possibility to visit the Mummies room, but it requires a separate ticket that can be purchased on the spot.
