The Giza Pyramid Complex, also known as the Giza Necropolis, is located on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt. These structures were constructed during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The area also includes several cemeteries and the remnants of a workers’ village.

The site is situated at the edge of the Western Desert, approximately 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) west of the Nile River in the city of Giza, and about 13 kilometers (8 miles) southwest of Cairo’s city center.

• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, which is currently buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site remains unexcavated.

• Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex comprises a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple has yielded several statues of Khafre, some of which were discovered in a well in the temple’s floor by Mariette in 1860.

• Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.

• Great Sphinx - Memphis City, the first capital of Egypt, was established in 3100 BC. Here, visitors can see the statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx.

• Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Saqqara is an Egyptian village in the Giza Governorate, renowned worldwide for its extensive ancient burial grounds of Egyptian kings and royals, serving as the necropolis for the ancient Egyptian capital, Memphis. Saqqara is home to numerous pyramids, including the renowned Step Pyramid of Djoser, sometimes called the Step Tomb, and several mastaba tombs. Its ruins are near the modern town of Mit Rahina, 20 km (12 miles) south of Giza in Greater Cairo, Egypt. The tour concludes with a drop-off at the customer’s hotel in Cairo or Giza.
