Highlights
  • Giza Plateau - Begin your tour with a pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza by a tour guide. The Giza pyramid complex, also known as the Giza Necropolis, is located on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt. It includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx of Giza. These structures were all built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The site also features several cemeteries and the remains of a workers’ village.

The complex is situated at the edge of the Western Desert, about 9 km (5 mi) west of the Nile River in Giza, and roughly 13 km (8 mi) southwest of Cairo’s city center.

  • Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, which is now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site remains unexcavated.

  • Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple has yielded several statues of Khafre, some of which were found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.

  • Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.

  • Great Sphinx - The Great Sphinx is located on the east side of the complex. Egyptologists generally agree that the head of the Great Sphinx is that of Khafre. In addition to these major monuments, there are several smaller satellite structures, known as “queens” pyramids, causeways, and valley pyramids.

  • The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Commonly known as the Egyptian Museum or Museum of Cairo, the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo, Egypt, houses an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. It contains 120,000 items, with a representative selection on display and the rest in storerooms. Built in 1901 by the Italian construction company Garozzo-Zaffarani and designed by French architect Marcel Dourgnon, the museum is one of the largest in the region. As of March 2019, the museum is open to the public. In 2020, it is set to be replaced by the new Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza. The tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel in Cairo or Giza.

  • Giza - Explore Egypt’s most famous landmark, the pyramids of Giza, where you can visit the Cheops pyramid and the Great Sphinx.

A must do tour! Highly recommend this tour without a doubt! - This was the most amazing tour! I would highly recommend this tour for anyone. We had an amazing guide, Sayed Mahmoud who really explained everything so well and made sure we were happy and comfortable throughout the day. I also cannot forget our driver, Abdulla who was so funny and fun! Really safe on the roads, made sure the AC was always on when we hopped in and played great music for our ride! Both were very kind and attentive to our needs making sure we had water, that we were feed and that we truly enjoyed our time. We truly did not know what to expect but this tour exceeded our expectations. This is a must do!

Top notch service! - This agency is the best I have booked a trip with. Service is top notch. They crafted a private tour throughout Egypt just like I wanted. They’re punctual and very well organized. Definitely 5 Stars. The one thing I would improve is that during the tour of the Pyramids and the museum the visit of the Pyramids was rushed as they wanted to take me to the papyrus, oil and tea stores to buy stuff I didn’t want. Other than that awesome!

Fantastic day tour - Our guide was seriously knowledgeable. And our driver had incredible reflexes! We got picked up at our airport hotel and were off to Giza. Our guide, Muhammad, thought it was too warm and it would get warmer so we did the pyramids first. On the way, about a 50 minute drive, he told us about the history of Egypt and the dynasties, etc. Once we got there, he cautioned us about the people selling things and told us to stay close. Nothing dangerous, they’ll just rip you off with plastic knock offs. We bought the additional inside the pyramid and it was incredible. A tough climb and hot - so glad we went early in the morning! Good call by our guide. We went on our camel ride and it was so fun! (Our guide did not at any time solicit tips for himself but did gently, gently suggest we tip the others). Our camel guy, Paulie, was hilarious and took some fun pictures for us. He could tell I was nervous and did a fantastic job of helping me relax in my camel, whose name was Bob Marley! We did a local lunch that was also really good. Egyptian sausage and chicken. We also did the sail on the Nile upgrade. I could have spent all day on that boat. We went to the museum but by that point the pyramid climb hit my thighs and I was kk d of tired. He was okay with taking us back but suggested that we go upstairs for a look at the mummies. So glad he did! I would have cried if I’d missed it. All in all it was a five star tour, mostly thanks to Muhammad and our driver Ali. Seriously.

Perfect Tour! - I went with them to tour the pyramids for my birthday and had the best time! I had to shorten my itinerary to catch the next flight to luxor and they accommodated us. They even bought a small treat for me as a bday celebration. It was delicious!

A tour of a lifetime - It's a whirlwind, but the trip is a once in a lifetime one and one to soak in. We were able to customize what we wanted to see. Our guide Ahmed picked us up and kindly stopped to pick us up an Egyptian breakfast (which was amazing and highly recommended). Throughout the day, Ahmed gave us insightful history and incredibly helpful advice about how to navigate the area. I highly recommend a guide who can assist you. Ahmed was awesome!

Good but a few cons - We had a so-so experience with this tour. On one hand, our guide Mohammad was very funny and charismatic, but on the other hand the tour and our guide lacked historical knowledge that we were looking for when touring Giza. Maybe this is not the case with other guides, but we learned little about the Pyramids/Sphinx/Egyptian Museum from our guide. With that being said, having a driver was fantastic and we really enjoyed our camel ride!

Exorbitant prices and mediocre experience.. - I am Egyptian so I know my country and history pretty well. I still wanted to give my European wife and kids a guided experience with a professional to give them a glimpse of my countries history. I chose Emo Tours based on the reviews but was bitterly disappointed. You can actually just pay the tickets to the Pyramids and the museum and have a better experience by yourself. Their guide was not knowledgeable enough and his English language was not on the required level. I honestly felt robbed to pay that much for nothing at all. They obviously do not care about repeat business and they don't care if you move to book with other agencies because they have enough business. That is always the dangerous when a company gets successful quickly and stops caring about cultivating loyalty and repeat business. Will not book with them again!

Rip off tour - Paid for a 10 hour tour only got 6 hours and half was spent at retail stores to try and get us to buy things so the tour guide could get kickbacks and shopping was not listed as part of the tour. So much time talking at pyramids and very little looking at pyramids .suppose to include inside viewing of the pyramids but we were told no, walked around perimeter of only 2 not all, camels were full of cuts on bridal and diseased with flies didn’t go into gyza just 1 touristic photo . We actually had to go back the next day on our own and pay again and we then realized we o my saw maybe 1/4 of what there was to see . At the museum we were toured around to the guides preference … maybe 5 highlights then given 15 minutes to look around. Saw part of 1 floor when there are 4…. Then taken back to hotel with 4 hours remaining and we were verbally forced to give a 5 star review in the car before they would pull into hotel… unreal! So this is actually my second review due to that circumstance . Can’t believe what a scam I will be requesting a refund !
