Best time in Cairo! - We had a fabulous time with Khalefa as a tour guide for our visit to the new Grand Egyptian Museum, a papyrus display and yummy lunch. He picked up the 4 of us at the Sheraton Cairo hotel and had a very good driver and minivan. He is an archaeologist and expertly explained the history of what we saw. He has excellent English speaking skills and established a good rapport with us. The new museum is gorgeous. The papyrus demo was good. He gave us several restaurant choices and menus. Delicious chicken and lamb shwerma. He provided cold bottled water on the trip. He is very knowledgeable about the history, the religions, the customs, and travel experiences. We highly recommend Mahmoud khalefa as a tour guide and travel planner.

Mohmed the driver also very nice and polite, when I asked him to stop at a minimart for some snacks on the way, he even came out the car to accompany me make sure I’m safe as I’m travel alone woman. Great Tour at Museum of Antiquities and Old Cairo - We had a great experience with Ayoub from Mina Tours at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. He was very knowledgeable about the pharaonic periods and artifacts, and he made sure we saw the most interesting parts of the museum. We left with a much better understanding of ancient Egyptian culture and craftsmanship. After the museum, Ayoub and driver Mohamed took us to some great local food spots in Zamalek and Old Cairo, which really added to the experience. This is the best time of year to visit—great weather and no crowds. Also, we felt completely safe the entire trip, with no security issues to worry about. I highly recommend Mina Tours for their expertise and for anyone visiting Egypt to explore its incredible history.

It's one more tour project, but the Guides were great! - The Guide this time was Mr. Ayoub, a male, who had about 10 years of Guide experience and knowledge, as well as being very caring and good at photography. The tour ended with ① the new Grand Egyptian Museum → ② free viewing → ③ lunch as stated, and in my case I left at 11am and returned to the hotel at 14:00. As far as the tour is concerned, I wish there was something else, but I guess this is up to the person. In any case, Ayoub here is recommended, so if you want to sign up for this tour, you should designate a Guide.

A MUST SEE - I was picked up at my hotel by Ayoub, the tour guide. The driver was Omar. They were wonderfully pleasant and informative. Ayoub was the absolute BEST guide for the GEM and was gracious about snapping photos for me. We toured the GEM staircase....a word that hardly describes the experience......the "staircase" was literally a museum in and of itself. Ayoub knew everything about Ancient Egyptian History....a true font of knowledge. We had lunch and chatted about all things Egyptian. Highly recommend

Khalefa rocks - Today I met an archeologist named Khalefa. He is awesome and knowledgeable. He told us the story of The Great Egyptian Museum and the significance of each stone that made up the structure of the building. All the while inserting bits of historical information about ancient Egypt. The best part of it all Khalefa was so accommodating with our request to bring us to El Khalili Bazaar since my friend and I had time to spare. Definitely will recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyable day with Ayoub - Another brilliant tour with Ayoub! So much learning and history one wasn’t aware of and so good to have a guide explaining to you and doing it at your pace. First stop was the museum; a must in Cairo. We then went on to see the Hanging church, the Coptic church and we were treated to a delicious lunch too. On to the Ben Ezra museum and then a visit to the Mosque to complete what was a complete tour of key religious buildings. Ayoub was kind enough to take us to the bazaar where we had a good wander then we drove 2 two specialist shops for gold and the finest Egyptian cotton. If you want a guide who is genuinely passionate about his job, will go above and beyond, can customise tours to suit your needs, I’d recommend Ayoub and this company. We feel we’ve made a friend for life and look forward to returning to do the Mt. Sinai hike 😁

An excellent and varied trip with Ayoub and Nedi. - This is an excellent tour to take with a very knowledgeable guide in Ayoub who took us to a great variety of sites both Coptic and Islamic, in addition to, some really good shopping experiences in the Bazaar. The lunch provided was wonderful and gave us the chance to experience authentic local Egyptian food of high quality including a local chickpea and lentil dish which comes with three delicious sauces and two dips and fresh Egyptian bread, as well as, a mixed grill of beef and chicken pieces and Kofte. The sites visited included, the museum of Egyptian antiquities (mummies downstairs), two Coptic Churches (amazing icons and the holy family crypt), the synagogue of Ben Ezra, then onto the Islamic quarter to see the Al Azhar mosque which originally dates back to 971AD. We also took in Salauddin's Citadel and the Aqueduct during our journey around Cairo. The trip is very good value and Ayoub and the driver Nedi are so very caring and personable and helpful throughout. When next in Egypt we would love to book another trip again to say hello to our two new friends! Highly recommended.
