- Giza Plateau - The day begins at 8:00 am with a pickup from your hotel in either Cairo or Giza by a tour guide, followed by a transfer to the Giza Pyramids to start your half-day tour. You’ll visit the Great Pyramids - Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos.
There is an opportunity to explore the Pyramids from the inside or enjoy a camel ride around the great pyramids, but these activities are subject to an additional charge.
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site remains unexcavated. The valley temple was connected to a causeway, which was largely destroyed during the village’s construction.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, some of which were found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860. Additional statues were discovered during later excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
- Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex comprises a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also yielded several statues of Menkaure.
- Great Sphinx - Conclude your tour with a visit to the Valley Temple, where priests mummified the body of King Chephren. Here, you’ll get a close-up view of the Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren, standing by the vast funeral complex. This is a perfect spot for taking amazing photos with the Sphinx in various fun poses, and your guide will be happy to assist you.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
There is also the possibility of entering any of the pyramids, visiting the solar boat of King Cheops, riding a camel around the Giza pyramids, or riding a quad bike in the wide desert. These activities can be added during the booking process for an additional fee.
